Our project “Book Donation” has received significant support from teachers and students in international schools across Ho Chi Minh City including EIS, ACB, SIS, BCIS, SNA and many more, as well as individuals. Eureka appreciates and is extremely grateful for your kindness. Thank you for supporting and participating in your project to bring happiness and hope to the students at Dinh Hoa Primary School in Go Quao, Kien Giang.

The pandemic has caused great damage to students learning across Vietnam’s provinces and cities. Through an interview with Mr Huynh Van Tam - principal of Dinh Hoa Primary School in Go Quao, Kien Giang, he stated: “71% of the students are Khmer ethnic. Their families are unemployed and are facing many difficulties. Students in school mainly borrow books from their friends to study together. Each student only has one uniform. They wear it in the morning, then wash and dry it at night to have their uniform ready for the next day. Meanwhile, students who don't have school uniforms tend to borrow from their friends. But, if they are unable to, the students don't have the courage to go to school because they feel embarrassed and insecure. In addition, the majority of the students in the school cannot afford yearly health insurance (543K VND per year for health insurance). Thus, if one of the children becomes ill or is involved in an accident, the family will not send their children to school because they are unable to afford both the treatment and school fees.”

Witnessing these challenging circumstances, Eureka Vietnam has decided to establish the "Book Donation" project with the desire to support students to go to school, and to reach our goal of a sustainable and fair education. Your small action is the future of the students. Let's join our project today to bring sustainable education to students at Dinh Hoa Primary School in Go Quao, Kien Giang.

The Nu Cuoi charity group was founded ten years ago in Kien Giang province by Ms. Duy. She has over ten years of experience in fundraising and charity. The ultimate purpose of her group is to help families with difficult circumstances such as unemployment, disability, or migration to afford a living and bring hope into their lives. The group's contribution to Kien Giang's villages is endless, providing stable income to many families and delivering a future and smiles to everybody.

Entering the second year of our journey, Eureka gradually became more aware of the sustainable development in Vietnamese education. Eureka Vietnam wishes to bring values, change, and contribute to sustainable education. Therefore, Eureka would like to introduce you to our small project “Book Donation.”

On February 28, 2022, Eureka! decided to collaborate with the "Nu Cuoi" charity group from Kien Giang province to have a trip to Dinh Hoa 1 Primary School, in Go Quao. The majority of students are Khmer, accounting for 71% of the total number of students. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, many citizens are unemployed and have no income to take care of their children and family. Therefore, students are suffering a lot in terms of learning and loss, specifically:

No health insurance
No uniforms
No textbook

After the trip to the school, Eureka recognized that we needed to make efforts to provide equal access to education for underprivileged children not just in Dinh Hoa, but also in other rural schools throughout Vietnam. Thus, we have decided to open the "Book Donation'' project from today until April 30, 2022. Eureka! will use all the funds raised from this project to buy necessary resources such as uniforms, health insurance, and textbooks for students.

📣On 02/12/2021, Eureka Vietnam was honoured to receive a certificate of appreciation for supporting the "Help Vietnam Breathe" campaign established by the VinaCapital Foundation (VCF). For Eureka Vietnam, this is a proud achievement for all members engaged in fundraising activities such as decorating, selling cakes, and tutoring. In addition, with the goal of "sustainable education" for 2022, students in the Brighter Path program can now take English lessons at Eureka. Brighter Path is a program established by The VinaCapital Foundation to provide scholarships for female ethnic minority girls in Vietnam. On 01/17/2022, Eureka Vietnam was honoured to receive a certificate of appreciation from the "Brighter Path" program. Eureka would like to thank the "Help Vietnam Breathe" campaign and the "Brighter Path" program for accompanying and supporting us along our journey.

Không dừng lại tại đó, Eureka Vietnam đã hướng đến mục tiêu trọng tâm là " giáo dục bền vững" năm 2022. Eureka đã mở những lớp học Tiếng Anh với các bạn học sinh nữ trong chương trình Brighter Path. Được biết, VinaCapital Foundation đã tạo nên học bổng “Mở Đường Tới Tương Lai”, một chương trình dành cho các nữ sinh dân tộc thiểu số Việt Nam nhằm mang lại cho các em hy vọng về một tương lai tươi sáng hơn và thoát khỏi vòng nghèo đói. Hướng đến một giáo dục bền vững, ngày 17/01/2022, Eureka Vietnam vinh dự nhận giấy chứng nhận từ chương trình “Brighter Path”. Eureka xin gửi lời cảm ơn đến chương trình "Help Vietnam Breath" và “Brighter Path” đã đồng hành và hỗ trợ suốt chặn đường qua. Đây sẽ là động lực của Eureka để nỗ lực cải thiện giáo dục bền vững.

We are delighted to announce that Candi Ding and Jenny Dang will be the new leaders of the Eureka! Tutoring Team.

Candi Ding will be taking on the Tutoring Manager role and will be leading the continuation of our tutoring services. Meanwhile, Jenny Dang will be taking on the Workshop Manager role and will be working closely with Vinacapital Foundation’s “Brighter Path” scholars.

We are excited to see what the new leaders and the Eureka! Tutoring team will bring to the community next school year!

We regretfully announce that Lily Pine, Founder of Eureka! Tutoring will be resigning from our organization beginning today. As a team, we would like to thank Lily for establishing this organization and for giving us the opportunities to gain new skills and experiences through Eureka! Tutoring.

While managing the organization itself, Lily has tutored numerous students throughout the year in English and Math, assisted our team in organizing charity events, as well as worked closely with Vinacapital Foundation. Without Lily’s leadership and determination, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Thank you for your hard work and dedication Lily!

You will be missed, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors!

Eureka Tutoring is pleased to announce our grand total donation of 54,704,000 VND ($2,393 USD) to the VinaCapital Foundation’s “Brighter Path” program and “Help Vietnam Breathe” campaign for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Eureka Tutoring has donated 34,356,000 VND ($1,503 USD) to Brighter Path to provide one full year of academic support for a Brighter Path scholar between the 2017-2024 university graduating class. This scholarship will cover school fees, learning materials, and housing support for a promising yet underprivileged, ethnic minority girl in Vietnam. We hope this donation will inspire the scholarship recipient and those around her, and contribute to a brighter future for the youth of Vietnam.

We have also donated 20,339,000 VND ($890 USD) to VinaCapital Foundation’s “Help Vietnam Breathe” campaign. This campaign aims to raise funds to purchase essential pandemic-fighting medical equipment and resources for frontline medical facilities. With the devastating increase of newly infected COVID-19 cases in Vietnam, we hope this donation will help aid those in need during this devastating global pandemic.

A huge thank you to our students and their families, as well as our charity event supporters for their generosity this school year (2020-2021). We are confident that our donations to the VinaCapital Foundation will effectively support those in our community on their endeavors during these trying times.
