Remember: the third-person singular ends with -es instead of -s. Typically, these are verbs whose root form ends in o, ch, sh, th, ss, gh, x, or z.

Verbs ending in -y : the third person changes the -y to -ies:
fly --> flies, cry --> cries
Exception: if there is a vowel before the -y:
play --> plays, pray --> prays

Eg:
Positive form
- I go, I do, I fly, I play
- he goes, she does, she flies, he plays, he passes, she catches, he fixes, it pushes (adding s, es)

Negative: do/does + not + [root form of verb]
- I don't go there
- She doesn't go there

Question form: do/does + [subject] + [root form of verb].
- Do I go there?
- Does she go there?
