Luxxe and Found Join our journey of freedom as we gut, design & live in our 40-foot school bus. Hi, we're Eric, Hadiya, Faruq and Cire!

Look around to learn more about us & our lifestyle blog focused on family, travel, food, and DIY fun. We’re a family of four from Los Angeles, CA taking a big leap towards a life of more leisure, big adventures and eco-friendliness. In 2021, we purchased our very own, tiny-home on wheels. We’re excited to gut, design, live and travel in a 40 foot school bus, affectionately known as 40 Luxxe. This

new skoolie life is pushing us to redefine what off-grid living looks and feels like. Society would typically associate this lifestyle with houselessness or a lack of something material. But our decision is instead rooted in freedom and we’re fully embracing a life that can be lived everywhere. Think of it as a mix of what we call "sustainable luxury and roughing it." We invite you to join Luxxe & Found as we share our journey with 40 Luxxe toward a softer, yet productive life filled with family, travel, food, and DIY fun. Follow us on social media to see what we're up to in real time. And get in touch if you want to say hi, partner with us or sign up for blog notifications!

Shift happens- 🤌🏾 I just pray these children one day understand the intentionality behind these moves we are making.

I hope they reflect on these times and find grace for us all.

I hope these years result in a foundation of courage and self-determination to do hard things no matter the circumstances they find. We aren’t really the gentle parenting type, but we are absolutely intentional in our pursuit of raising good humans. I just pray… 🙏🏾🤞🏾

Here goes nothing! We have officially become nomads!! 🚌

I’m not sure I’ve processed the magnitude of giving up our home, but these next three weeks abroad should help to circumvent any WTF moments for a little.

I know what you’re thinking; NO the 🚌 is NOT done. We just realized it wasn’t going to get done (fast enough) at the pace we were going. So, I came up with this crazy idea to help us focus and finish this project before summer is over. 🤞🏾🤪

We must express our immense gratitude for all of you who have been supportive of us along our journey. Your encouragement and well wishes really help to balance the frustrations that have come along to making this huge transition. Stay tuned as we enter this next phase of our journey. It’s going to be a wild ride- ✈️🇫🇷🇪🇸🏖️🌵🚌

Taking a break from our roles as parents to immerse ourselves in the art of partnership.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. But let’s be honest, the “village” isn’t villaging like it used to! Unless you are very intentional, parenting can really take a toll on a partnership.

What are some of your favorite day date or date night activities? We recently had fun golfing but would love some new ideas 🤗

Rare footage of our toddler remaining calm and pleasant on a flight 😌

I want my children to experience as much of this world as soon as they can. And sometimes, I just want EASY, tranquil, no fuss, living for more than 90 min nap times!

When traveling, it’s always important to remember I have a choice. Whether traveling solo or with my entire family, each is a big win for our collective growth. 🏆

So, let's make traveling with the little ones a win for everyone! 😉 Click the link in my bio to check out our latest blog post and learn the secrets to stress-free flying with kids 🛩️

They say Mexico City is the Manhattan of Mexico; and I can totally see this! I was there for less than 48 hours without a guide, and to be honest, I think I did this city all wrong because I found little to no joy in this experIence. 🤷🏾‍♀️ (Also, 48hrs is about all I can stand of Manhattan)

Let’s just say this photo was to document the first time I felt seen in Mexico City. Turns out he was a Black man from Brooklyn! He was the first and only melanated being I saw my entire time there.

He told me WE were indeed there and invited me to a hip hop club that was happening the next day. Unfortunately, I was to continue my travels that evening and would miss it ☹️

I had fallen in love with this country for its natural beauty, delicious cuisine, and exceptionally warm people. Mexico City arguably offers ☝🏾 of 3; and to be honest, I didn’t have any food that left me solidly confirming the hype of CDMX being a food city.

That said, this was a last-minute extended layover. I would definitely give this city another shot with the proper guidance and planning with a CDMX vet.

Anyone else have a similar experience? I’d love some tips for my next visit 🇲🇽
