Medical Love

Hey guys,
It's been a while since the day I chose my specialty. This is the match day which all medical students find out which residency program they match to. Picking a residency is really a difficult process because there's a lot of pieces of the puzzle. Ultimately I matched into Dermatology.
Here is an update on something new in my life. The big move was stressful, but now I'm more settled into my residency. I'm currently a first-year intern working with a group of patients who have psoriasis. It caused red skin patches covered with silvery scales all over their bodies and made them feel a lot of stigma regarding their disease.

After a such long break, it's hard to get back to the daily grind...

Blockbluster, the movie that used to be every corner in Hanoi, is making a come back...
Traffic jam is basically considered as a local delicacy. That's where everyone adapted to the difficulties and tried to blend into the crowd for a living. You can describe this city with one word 'hustle and bustle' but to simply put, it's fu***ng mess.
So when the pandemic came by, it was such a disaster but accidentally allowed for peace and quietness for a while. Everyone did work from home to help stop the spread of coronavirus. Then all of a sudden, the city had less air pollution during social distancing days. Reports found traffic accidents and fatalities dramatically fell in approximately half. Having said that, no one wants to be suffered from the deadly pandemic at all.
So if Hanoi were a human being, who would it be to you?

The weather is warming up here now. Social distancing is over, everybody goes back to work and children return to school. Life is getting back to normal. Vietnam has gone through a pretty difficult time in the fight against pandemic. The goverment did really well. The medical system was great. The communication was amazing. And everyone followed the rules. I know there was a lot of fear at the very beginning, but further along the way, we stayed strong and together did beat completely the virus.

Self-isolation at home🏘 is not that bad. You have got to count your blessings while the pandemic crisis is taking its heavy toll on every aspect of life out there. Doctors are under a tremendous amount of pressure every hour to battle the virus and save lives. Police officers have to work around the clock⏳ to cater to and safeguard the quarantined individuals.

And you, if you are healthy, have food in the fridge and time to work out 🏋🏃daily, you should feel grateful for everything you have. Indeed you have so much time with your beloved family members 👪. Do not laze around or become a couch potato.
