Good article out of Singapore.
I appreciate this thoughtful, non-Western perspective on neurodiversity. The piece offers a refreshing and culturally nuanced take on understanding diverse minds, moving beyond stereotypes and acknowledging how conditions such as autism and ADHD reflect natural variations of the human brain.
It’s an important reminder of how we can broaden our global conversations around inclusion and mental wellbeing.
Understanding diverse minds
Autism and ADHD are natural variations in how the brain is wired; they are distinct from mental illnesses. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.

Our brains are wired to be highly sensitive to rejection—a trait that likely evolved as a survival mechanism. For women with ADHD, this Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) can feel even more intense, deeply impacting emotions, self-worth, and decision-making. Positive Intelligence (PQ) coaching offers a way to rewire these thought patterns, helping to shift from self-criticism and fear of rejection to resilience and emotional mastery.
When RSD takes over, our inner “saboteurs” amplify negative self-talk, reinforcing limiting beliefs. PQ, on the other hand, strengthens our “sage” mindset—helping us approach challenges with clarity, confidence, and compassion. The good news? You can train your brain to react differently.
If you’re ready to break free from the emotional rollercoaster of RSD and build mental fitness that supports your success, let’s connect.

It isn't because educators aren't compassionate, well intentioned professionals (they are). It's because a system steeped in decades old theories doesn't hold the complexity necessary to truly understand & support behavioral challenges. Everyone, parents, students & teachers will benefit from the rising paradigm shift. So grateful that the suggestions in are beginning to spread across the world.

This comes up so often—parents worrying about their kids’ hygiene (showers, changing underwear, brushing teeth), while quietly struggling with the same things themselves. Transitions are hard. Executive function gets in the way. The guilt creeps in.
If this resonates, you’re not alone. ADHD and hygiene struggles are deeply connected, and they don’t magically disappear in adulthood. If you’re navigating this with your kids—or just trying to figure it out for yourself—I offer nonjudgmental support to help you build systems that actually work for your brain, not against it. Book a call and let’s talk.

ADHD Women and Hygiene | Healthy ADHD
My son and I have been fighting about hygiene for years. Way before he knew anything about human evolution. He is fourteen and I’m sick of reminding him to put on deodorant every day. Even when I remind him he doesn’t seem to understand that he also has to dry his body off before he applies the ...
