We reunited with our VJU-MCE graduates who are working in Japan at Prof. Kato's Laboratory at the University of Tokyo with Prof. Nara(Osaka-U) and Prof. Takeda.

On November 21, 2025, four alumni of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering at Vietnam Japan University (VJU–MCE) visited the IP Lab to meet with Professor Hironori Kato.

They came to UTokyo to participate in the closing ceremony and subsequent celebration of the VJU–MCE Internship Program 2025. Many of them had previously stayed at the IP Lab as interns, and all are now working in Japan after their graduation. Three VJU–MCE faculty members—Professors Hironori Kato, Satoshi Nara (Professor Emeritus of Osaka University and Gifu University), and Shinichi Takeda (Takushoku University)—enjoyed a warm and memorable reunion with them.

Thank you for visiting the IP Lab and for your continued support of our program.

On November 21, 2025, three interns from the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering at Vietnam Japan University successfully presented their achievements at the IP Lab.

During their two-week stay at the University of Tokyo, the interns explored infrastructure operations and construction practices in Japan through visits to various field sites and participated in academic activities at several universities including the IP lab. Their presentations were followed by a closing ceremony, where they received completion certificates. We hope the internship provided them with valuable experiences.

We sincerely appreciate the support of everyone involved—especially the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)—for making this program possible.

VJU-MCE Japan internship participants visited the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), 19th Nov.
Given that flooding has been a significant issue in Vietnam this year, we received explanations about Japan's initiatives concerning natural disasters, which were highly informative.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the staff members at the MLIT.

VJU-MCE Japan Internship started the second week with a visit to the Department of Transportation Systems Engineering at Nihon University College of Science and Technology (Prof. Takeda’s alma mater). We saw the world's best structural testing machine, an authentic laboratory, observing a lecture on "Ground and foundation structures", a flood-scenario driving simulator, and the university museum—an incredibly valuable experience. We were also impressed by the vast campus and the beautiful autumn leaves 🍁
Sincere thanks to the many faculty members who cooperated and welcomed us!
