looking for volunteer
Prime of Life is the first social enterprise in Hai Duong Province that operates for non-profit purposes, supporting students who do not have good conditions in urban areas and those who live far from urban areas can approach to a more holistic and equitable Education. Concurrently, POL is operated for the environment, supporting poor farmers in the highland and remote areas to sell eco-friendly products to replace disposable plastic items such as bamboo straws, coconut bowls, plates made from leaf…..
What we need:
Teaching English at our home, homes or places that are near students' homes, at the school which we link with:
• Together with Volunteers and other staff create the most natural environment for learning and speaking English.
• joining the picnic with volunteers, other staff, and students to discover, have experience in learning English outside.
• Teaching English in the classroom or outdoors
• Attending programs or Workshops events
Other jobs :
• Teaching swimming at the swimming pool, taking care of animals on campus with gardeners, doing daily tasks at the pool, taking care of children in the school together with and other staff...
• Taking photos, making films about the project.
• Marketing for projects on the spot as well as on other means of communication.
• Spreading the spirit of environmental protection, helping the project and poor Vietnamese farmers sell eco-friendly products such as bamboo straws, coconut bowls ... to improve their lives.
• assist managing project for other jobs
A Volunteers is not necessary to do all of the above-mentioned works when agreeing to the project, the Volunteers and project managers will discuss together to choose the strengths of Volunteers members to devote but, Teaching English is the most basic task.
We appreciate the volunteers who especially love children, have experience in education, are always happy, active, and have many original ideas.
WHEN AND WHO
- When we need Volunteers: Whole year
- We require a minimum duration:

Volunteers also have the best experience in the 3rd month of teaching. This is also the time that volunteers will learn the most from their work.
Volunteers will only work 3-5 hours a day and 5 days a week so, volunteers will have 2 days off to relax and learn more about local culture and tourism or nearby places.
Hai Duong is a province that is not far away from Hanoi. It takes us just 1,5 hours by bus or train to Ha Noi, Hai Duong is a province in the middle of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay (one of the Seven Wonders of the World), Cat Ba Island (a famous beautiful island is favored by many foreign tourists), Ninh Binh (Ha Long on land, the scenery is extremely beautiful, background in Kinh Kong movie). It takes us only 1.5-2 hours From Hai Duong to all the above locations. From Hai Duong we can take a bus or a train to all other places like Sapa, Ha Giang, .. and other famous places in VietNam very easily.
Volunteers who can only stay with the project for less than 2 months can still volunteer at the project but the accommodation and food expenses will have to be paid by the volunteers themselves with support from the project. Volunteers can contact the project manager to have more specific information and will be announced at a definite time.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
• Accommodation
We will provide accommodation for all volunteers. accommodation will probably be at our school. Near the school, volunteers will work at local people's houses or gather at Volunteers' houses depending on the location that each volunteer works.
At all places, the volunteers are in the center of the residential areas, absolutely safe, clean, convenient to travel, near all basic services such as hospitals, home offices. water, police station, school, assistant, supermarket, cafe ... and other services.
At the accommodation, we will provide water and electricity, basic household items, electricity, water, wifi ...
• Meals:
The POL will provide two meals a day, which may include snacks or fruit. Volunteers can choose to cook for themselves, eat with the local family, eat at the school canteen, or eat outside. If the volunteers do not eat in the school canteen, POL will provide an amount of money for 2 daily meals with the same value as a meal in the canteen.
Volunteers can be exchanged cooking culture in local and in other countries from other volunteers. In the traditional markets as well as supermarkets around the area where the volunteers live, there are many diverse local foods so that the volunteers can choose the products according to the local style or national style. Besides, the volunteers can also search for spices or foreign-style restaurants in cities.

Our fee:
Volunteers will not have to pay any fee to be a volunteer at the project. However, volunteers will have to sign a commitment to commit completing the tasks apart from having unexpected situations such as natural disasters, wars, outbreaks of disease at the place where volunteers live, health, ...
Although volunteers do not have to contribute or commit a fee, volunteers need to comply with their commitment to avoid breaking the human resource plan as well as other project plans.
All issues related to commitments between the two sides, conditions, and responses between the two sides will be discussed, negotiated between volunteers and project management when changing something to come to a consensus that is suitable for Volunteer work and stable performance to serve society as the project's mission.

The project will make every effort to support and provide as many conditions as possible for volunteers to help volunteers have the best efficiency. And also we will introduce for volunteers about the local culture, discover places, special features only in Vietnam. All other requirements the volunteers can make before coming to the project. If the project can meet, the project will commit. During the time the volunteers work, the project management and volunteers will discuss to implement if there are ideas at work as well as activities outside the classroom.
Although volunteers have to prepare their lesson plans, create ideas, teach classes. if necessary, the volunteers will have full support from project management, other volunteers, and staff in the school.
Most facilities and auxiliary tools for volunteers to work are adequate but if needed, the volunteers can give their opinion. if the project is affordable, it will be provided immediately.
All services are provided to serve the project to fulfill its mission, help volunteers fulfill their duties while in the project. Helping all employees, students, volunteers ... have impressive experiences, learn cultural exchanges and most importantly for the community mission.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to picnic with students to explore and +learn with students (depending on the time and plan).
If volunteers can stay with the project for 5 months or more and assist in managing other projects, have good teaching skills, this can lead to additional funding from conditional parents, volunteers. A volunteer will be received an additional monthly allowance of the same allowance as a normal Vietnamese from 50-150 USA.

OTHER WAYS TO HELP
Our wish list:
If volunteers cannot come to the project and stay with the project longer than 60 days, volunteers can still participate in the project voluntarily but basically, the volunteers will have to pay for living expenses themselves. Of course, the project will arrange or find accommodation and meals with the lowest possible cost (in Vietnam, these costs are often very low). The cost of accommodation for the volunteers will vary depending on time, but not much. the volunteers can contact the project and the project will check the location (such as homestays, hotels, motels). .) to inform volunteers.
POL welcomes the volunteers to donate learning resources, increase English books, intellectual resources on the internet (Video, online books ...) .... to enrich the library for the project.
We especially love art, diversity, cultural exchange, and we welcome volunteers to contribute to the present or artistic intellectual products to enrich classrooms and project headquarters.
We welcome the promotion of the project to the community, passing on good stories, seeking resources to help in the world community.
We welcome volunteers to help the project and poor Vietnamese farmers spreading the environment protection, restricting the use of plastic products, helping Vietnamese farmers to sell environmentally friendly products instead, replacing disposable plastic products
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The number of employees is from 15 to 50 people.
If it is not a day off or summer vacation, there will be about 50 employees work at our main school. In other small centers such as the English Center or home, teaching facilities will have 2 Vietnamese staff, other foreign teachers and volunteers. The number of employees will depend on location and time. However, regardless of the time and place, all activities of the project will operate normally. Depending on the characteristics and qualifications of each volunteer class, there will be assistants, and teachers have initial guidance experience, supporting and sharing of experience as well as other material conditions for work in the project. Basically, volunteers have to arrange and build own work.
In addition, volunteers will be able to interact with local people, people who speak the same language, exchanges between organizations, centers, schools (depending on the program)
• The number of volunteers on site is from5 to 20 people. The number of volunteers will also depend on the time, but each project also has English-speaking staff and teachers, other friendly Vietnamese who are willing to exchange culture and share life.
As an English teacher, you will have the opportunity to learn and build topics from the Vietnamese culture, share your own culture, give messages about the environment, love people. , animals, hobbies .... in your lecture to enrich the knowledge for yourself and your students.
In a multi-country environment, there are many differences between your country’s culture and others you will learn a lot from experience. The maturity is clear after you have finished volunteering here.
