We are delighted to welcome Ilyes Moussi, an International Management student from Paris-Est Créteil University (UPEC), France, as our newest international intern! 🇫🇷📚

Over the course of his 3-month internship at the International Students Support Center, Ilyes will contribute to a wide range of activities aimed at strengthening our international engagement, including assisting with the reception and coordination of visiting international delegations and supporting the organization of events. He will also be involved in promoting VLU’s international initiatives through content development and communication support, bringing fresh perspectives to the team.

🎉 This year, from July 4th to July 14th, 2024, we are delighted to welcome Kim Sodogandji from IAE Paris-Est (France) and Ayska Rahma Daffadilla and Nayla Ilma Kauna from Universitas Islam Indonesia (Indonesia) at the SDG Summer School in Vietnam 2024.

The SDG Summer School in Vietnam is organized by the International Education Institute - Van Lang University with the aim to increase awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and encourage students to learn about this topic for a better and sustainable living. With this program, international students will participate in a multicultural learning environment while enjoying the special Vietnamese culture experience. They were joined with students from Edge Hill University (UK), Liverpool John Moores University (UK), and Feng Chia University (Taiwan), creating a diverse and dynamic group.

🔥The summer school was an incredible journey of learning and growth. Over the course of two weeks, the IDEBATERS and their international friends engaged deeply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a series of hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and enjoyable field trips.

👉 The program also offered participants a chance to explore Vietnam's vibrant cities, engage in cultural exchanges with Vietnamese students, and fully immerse themselves in the local culture:
- Welcome Day at Van Lang University: Campus Tour, Cultural Exchange, Opening Ceremony followed by A Taste of Vietnam: Tea and Tunes Cultural Session.
- Vietnamese Culture and Language Classes.
- SDGs Event Day: Treasure Hunting and “Eco-printing on silk” Workshop.
- “Empowering Sustainable Future” Workshop and Group Presentation.
- Ho Chi Minh City Tour: The City Post Office, War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, Water Puppet Show, Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels.
