⚙️Recap: Design for Mechanical Engineering program (MEN) Basic Internship competition⚙️

"Design for MEN Basic Internship" is an exciting playground dedicated to Mechanical Engineering students at VGU. The competition aims to spark creativity, foster teamwork, and challenge students to apply the practical knowledge gained from their basic internships.

As our very first season, the competition successfully attracted a fantastic turnout of passionate teams. After a rigorous and intense journey, only the 2 most resilient and determined teams made it to the grand finale!

🔩To bridge the gap between theory and reality, our students don't just sit in lectures—they dive straight into an exciting series of hands-on lab sessions! Under the dedicated guidance of our lab engineers, students explore a range of advanced measurement techniques.

✨About the Competition
The Indefol Green Hydrogen Innovation Challenge 2026—organized as part of the University-Industry (U-I) BKI Program—aims to bridge the gap between academia and cutting-edge industry innovation. This competition is designed to develop future-ready talent capable of co-leading real-world green energy projects with global impact.

✨WHAT’S NEW IN 2026?
In 2026, the challenge enters a new chapter by partnering with Bach Khoa Innovation (BKI) to empower student innovators with tools, experience, and mentorship. Participants will simulate a professional working environment using Indefol’s project cultures, specifically the RAPID framework and Due Diligence methodology.

✨COMPETITION THEME – THE FUTURE OF GREEN HYDROGEN
With a project target of reaching 1.5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2031, Indefol calls on students to develop cost-effective solutions across five key technical areas:
•Green Chemistry Systems: Design pilot-scale production for green ammonia, urea, or sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
•Fuel Cell Integration: Develop and integrate fuel cell power systems with capacities from 16kW to 400kW.
•1MW Power Electronics: Design a bi-directional converter with 97% efficiency and high overload capacity.
•Wind Turbine Innovation: Create self-lifting climbing robots for 16m prototypes and 180m tower designs.
•Hydrogen Mobility: Design and assemble a 3.5-ton hydrogen-powered truck.

✨ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
•Students with a true passion for renewable energy and industrial innovation.
•Teams must consist of 3 to 4 members.
•The challenge encourages interdisciplinary solutions combining engineering, strategy, and ESG frameworks.

✨PRIZES & BENEFITS
The competition offers a total prize pool and significant career development opportunities:
•1st Prize: Total value of 50,000,000 VND (including cash, post-internship bonus, and study abroad eligibility).
•2nd Prize: Total value of 20,000,000 VND.
•3rd Prize: Total value of 10,000,000 VND.
•Career Fast-track: Opportunities to intern and work at Indefol’s R&D center in Long An.
•Global Academic Path: Chance to pursue a Master’s or PhD in France or Germany with a path to technical management roles.

Indefol Green Hydrogen Innovation Challenge 2026— được tổ chức trong khuôn khổ Chương trình Hợp tác Đại học - Doanh nghiệp (U-I) BKI—nhằm mục đích rút ngắn khoảng cách giữa môi trường học thuật và những đổi mới sáng tạo hàng đầu trong ngành công nghiệp. Cuộc thi này được thiết kế để phát triển những tài năng sẵn sàng cho tương lai, có đủ năng lực để cùng dẫn dắt các dự án năng lượng xanh thực tiễn với tầm ảnh hưởng toàn cầu.

✨ĐIỂM MỚI NĂM 2026
Trong năm 2026, cuộc thi bước sang một chương mới với sự hợp tác cùng Bach Khoa Innovation (BKI), nhằm trao quyền cho các bạn sinh viên sáng tạo thông qua công cụ, trải nghiệm thực tế và sự cố vấn chuyên sâu. Người tham gia sẽ được mô phỏng môi trường làm việc chuyên nghiệp theo văn hóa dự án của Indefol, đặc biệt là framework RAPID và phương pháp Due Diligence.

✨CHỦ ĐỀ CUỘC THI – TƯƠNG LAI CỦA HYDRO XANH
Với mục tiêu đạt sản lượng 1,5 triệu tấn hydro xanh mỗi năm vào năm 2031, Indefol kêu gọi sinh viên phát triển các giải pháp tối ưu chi phí trong 5 lĩnh vực kỹ thuật trọng điểm:
•Hệ thống Hóa học Xanh: Thiết kế quy mô pilot cho sản xuất ammonia xanh, urê hoặc nhiên liệu hàng không bền vững (SAF).
•Tích hợp Pin Nhiên liệu: Phát triển và tích hợp hệ thống pin nhiên liệu với công suất từ 16kW đến 400kW.
•Điện tử Công suất 1MW: Thiết kế bộ chuyển đổi hai chiều đạt hiệu suất 97% và khả năng chịu quá tải cao.
•Đổi mới Turbine Gió: Phát triển robot leo tự nâng cho mô hình 16m và thiết kế trụ cao 180m.
•Giao thông Hydro: Thiết kế và lắp ráp xe tải 3,5 tấn sử dụng hydro.

•Sinh viên có đam mê thực sự với năng lượng tái tạo và đổi mới công nghiệp.
•Mỗi đội gồm 3–4 thành viên.
•Khuyến khích các giải pháp liên ngành kết hợp kỹ thuật, chiến lược và khung ESG.

⚙️VGU Career Fair 2026⚙️
🎉On May 13, VGU welcomed over 1,000 students and more than 30 local and international enterprises to gather at the VGU Career Fair 2026.
💡This year, the Mechanical Engineering (MEN) department had the honor of hosting a booth to showcase the innovative projects from our final-year students, drawing significant interest from industry visitors.
🔎The career fair introduced nearly 100 jobs and internship opportunities across various sectors, providing valuable career paths for VGU students in general, and for MEN students in particular.
🌏Equipped with well-prepared CVs, the MEN students demonstrated global readiness, technical competence, and a strong ambition to integrate into the international workforce.
👏Sincere appreciation is extended to all corporate partners, speakers, volunteers, and the organizers for their cooperation in delivering a vibrant and inspiring event.
