In 1965, the Eulalie R. However, in 1974, the Legislature of The Virgin Islands approved Act 3521, renaming the school to honor the late Mrs. Eulalie R.
Rivera PreK-8th school, initially named Grove Place Elementary School, was established to accommodate approximately nine hundred students. Rivera, a distinguished educator who dedicated many years of service to the field of education. Situated on a ten-acre property at Estate Mount Pleasant, Frederiksted, St. Croix, the school provides a spacious environment for learning and growth. The school has
several buildings, including seven wings, comprising the classroom buildings. These wings collectively house thirty-six classrooms, accommodating PreK to 8th-grade students. Adjacent to the classroom buildings are three separate structures. The first building serves as the administration center, hosting various essential facilities. These include the library, primary computer lab/media center, central office, administrative offices, counselor's, and nurse's offices. The second building is dedicated to the kitchen and cafeteria. This space also serves as the venue for monthly assemblies, which play a vital role in fostering a sense of community and school spirit. Additionally, a third building houses specialized facilities that benefit the school community. These include special education offices, a teacher's lounge, a custodial room, a parent room, and an intermediate computer lab. The Eulalie R. Rivera PreK-8th school strives to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and social development. With a commitment to cultivating Responsible, Accountable, Mindful, and Safe students, the school aims to prepare them for success in their future endeavors.

The RAMS marched in solidarity with other schools and organizations for the annual MLK March.
