We are a Private School located in the Valley, Virgin Gorda.

By working in small groups of no more than eight students per teacher, we are able to create and maintain an environment that recognizes, addresses, respects and promotes the individuality of our students. Just as their learning styles, capabilities and rate of progress vary, so do our teaching methods, pacing and use of materials. Our students learn to push themselves, support each other and work

Little Readers Spotlight: Kindergarten Series – Part 5 ✨

As we conclude our Kindergarten edition of Little Readers Spotlight, today we celebrate the joy, determination, and beautiful spirit of young Alysha.

Alysha reminds us every day why teaching is so meaningful. Her warm personality, perseverance, and growing confidence continue to brighten our classrooms and inspire those around her.

At Valley Day School, we believe every child can learn, grow, and shine when they are supported, encouraged, and loved along the way.

This special milestone is a celebration of progress, confidence, and the power of believing in every child. 💛

Congratulations Alysha 🎉

Little Readers Spotlight: Part 4

We continue our Little Readers Spotlight - Kindergarten series by celebrating the remarkable growth of another young Kindergarter, A’Mya, who became an emergent reader in our Preschool Division last year.

Since then, she has continued to inspire us with her dedication, and outstanding progress. ✨

At Valley Day School, we believe children thrive when learning is nurtured through encouragement, exploration, play, and strong foundational support from an early age.

A’Mya’s achievement is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a child’s love for learning is carefully cultivated over time.

Congratulations A’Mya 🎉

Today, our school community proudly dressed in red in recognition of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day ❤️

This special day reminded us of the importance of humanity, compassion, and helping those in need.

We extend heartfelt thanks to long-standing BVI Red Cross volunteer and retired Valley Day teacher, Miss Jennifer Darroux for visiting our school today. She engaged us with an informative and meaningful presentation about the work of the Red Cross and the impact of humanitarian service within our community.

We are also incredibly proud of the donations our students brought in, which were proudly handed over today. Through this experience, our students learned that even small acts of kindness and giving back can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

At Valley Day School, we remain committed to nurturing caring, socially responsible students who understand the value of service and giving back. ❤️

Little Readers Spotlight: Part 1

At Valley Day School, learning begins with curiosity, creativity, and play.
Through a balanced approach, our students build strong foundations while still experiencing the joy of being children.

This reading series celebrates a special milestone: our kindergarteners confidently reading and sharing stories.

These moments reflect more than academic progress; they showcase growing confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning.

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and inspired, and these young readers are proof of what’s possible.

This is what growth looks like: confident, capable, and proud! ✨

📚✨ Reigniting a Love for Reading!

Late Post❗️
In celebration of Library Week 2026, our students had a wonderful time visiting the library, where they engaged in a variety of fun and interactive activities that reminded us all that reading is truly enjoyable and meaningful.

Through hands-on experiences, our students were reminded that Reading truly is fun even in today’s technology-driven world.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone at BVI Library Services, especially the dedicated librarians on Virgin Gorda, for creating such a welcoming and enriching experience for our students.

📖💡 Together, we continue to cultivate a lifelong love for learning!

Standing together in blue 💙

Last Friday, we showed our support for two important causes:

Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month
We are committed to creating a safe environment where every child feels protected, heard, and valued. We teach our students to speak up, and understand that their voices matter.

Autism Awareness Month
We celebrate differences and promote an inclusive school culture where students learn to be patient, accepting, and kind. Every child deserves to feel understood and supported.

At our school, inclusion, safety, and respect are not just lessons, they are values we live by every day.
