The Institute was established in 1974 under the decree of Uzbekistan government from the 4th of October 1973. This event played a great part in social-cultural and spiritual life of our region. The Institute was an unique higher educational establishment carrying out the training of specialists by wide spectrum of professional directions having culture science nature. The Institute was reorganized to the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture in 2012
