Tashkent is the capital and largest city not only of Uzbekistan, but also of the entire Central Asia, where more than 2.4 million people live. Mention of Tashkent is found in Chronicles from the second century BC under various names: Shash-Tepa, Chach-Tepa, Shi, Zheshi and Yueni. But already in the XI century, the name Tashkent appeared, which means "Stone city" (from the Uzbek "tosh" – stone). Today, Tashkent is one of the most beautiful and developed cities in Central Asia. The combination of modernity and traditional Asian flavor, as well as an abundance of architectural and historical attractions attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world.
