23-февраля 2024 года состоялась встреча докторантов 1 курсов кафедры английского языка и литературы факультета иностранных языков КГУ.
В ходе встреч докторанты предоставили тщательные исследования и конкретные презентации на обсуждения темы своих диссертационных работ. Во встрече приняли участие декан факультета иностранных языков Дж.Курбанбаев, заведующей кафедрой английского языка и литературы З.Утешова, а также научные консультанты и руководители докторантов, которые уже сейчас вносят свой вклад в развитие страны.
В ходе научно-теоретического семинара докторанты первокурсники получили ответы на многие интересующие их вопросы, ознакомились с основной научной литературой, изданной профессорско-преподавательским составом факультета, а также с информацией по научно-теоретическим основам формирования первой главы диссертации.

Педагогическая практика — важнейший этап формирования профессиональных навыков
Педагогическая практика является неотъемлемой частью учебно-воспитательного процесса, обеспечивающая соединение теоретической подготовки студентов с их практической деятельностью, что позволяет применять полученные знания и умения на практике и служит одним из эффективных средств успешной подготовки студентов к будущей профессиональной деятельности.
Студенты 4 курса КГУ факультета иностранных языков кафедры английского языка и литературы недавно завершили месячную педагогическую практику, которые были направлены на квалификационную практику в академический лицей КГУ, школу Темиридов, а также в школу №17, №19, №48 и специализированную школу №37 г. Нукуса. В течение отведенного на практику времени студенты закрепили свои теоретические знания и приобрели необходимые практические навыки.
23-февраля 2024 года была организована встреча 4-курсов практикантов вместе с проректором КГУ А.Дуйсенбаевым, главным методистом по учебной части М.Калбаевой, деканом факультета иностранных языков Дж.Курбанбаевым, заведующей кафедрой английского языка и литературы З.Утешовой, со старшими преподавателями кафедры Ф.Аташовой, Н.Сатуллаевой и другими преподавателями-методистами.
В ходе встреч студенты продемонстрировали свое мастерство с помощью практических докладов, впечатлив преподавателей своими тщательными исследованиями и конкретными презентациями. Во время своих презентаций они уверенно отвечали на вопросы, подчеркивая глубину своего понимания и стремление внести свой вклад. Так как в процессе прохождения практики студенты научились самостоятельно отбирать и систематизировать информацию в рамках поставленных перед ними задач; применять полученные знания на практике; развивать навыки работы в коллективе и осуществлять самоконтроль.
Этот успех отражает совместные усилия студентов и профессорско-преподавательского состава, подтверждая приверженность кафедры академическому совершенству. Поскольку эти студенты продолжают свой путь, их практический опыт, несомненно, сослужит им хорошую службу в будущих занятиях.

Семинар и прием китаеведов Узбекистана
2 февраля 2024 года в отеле HILTON прошел прием китаеведов Республики Узбекистан, посвященный празднику Весны, по лунному календарю Китая. От имени Каракалпакского государственного университета им. Бердаха почетными гостями приема были декан факультета иностранных языков Дж.А. Курбанбаев, преподаватель китайского языка С.М. Алламбергенова и студентка 3-курса факультета иностранных языков Г. Тлеклесбаева.
В первой части приема прошел семинар китаеведов Узбекистана. На Семинаре выступили Чрезвычайный и Полномочный посол Китайской Народной Республики в Республике Узбекистан г-н Юй Цзюнь и китаеведы. Во время семинара были обсуждены вопросы улучшения образовательных процессов в сфере обучения китайскому языку. В свою очередь от имени Каракалпакского Государственого университета им. Бердаха выступила преподаватель китайского языка факультета иностранных языков С.М. Алламбергенова. Во время обращения к послу были выдвинуты вопросы по привлечению волонтеров-носителей языка для обучения китайскому языку наших студентов , вопрос организации языковых стажировок для студентов, а также курсов повышения квалификации для преподавателей в Китае для более глубокого изучения языка непосредственно языковой среде, а также организация учебных ресурсов для изучающих китайский язык в Каракалпакском государственном университете. После завершения семинара с участием ведущих китаеведов страны, состоялось приветствие от организатора (провинция Шэньси), просмотр видеоролика об историческом городе Чанъан (Сиань), онлайн-лекция о новогоднем фестивале фонарей и культурных традициях Китая, выступление Посла КНР и представления учащихся разных учебных заведений Республики Узбекистан, где организовано изучение китайского языка. В перерывах между представлениями посвященные празднику весны были организованы мастер- классы по каллиграфии, раскрашиванию масок и чайной церемонии от преподавателей Института Конфуция при ТГУВ и праздничный фуршет, где гости приема могли ознакомится и насладиться китайскими блюдами. В заключение приема каждому гостю были вручены памятные подарки от имени посольства КНР в РУз.
Напоследок хотелось бы отметить , что подобные мероприятия способствуют росту интереса к китайскому языку и культуре не только у изучающих китайский язык, но у каждого человека , который когда-либо соприкасался с китайской культурой .

Korean Weak
Again dedicated and unwearying teachers of the Department of English language and Literature of the Faculty of Foreign Languages are about to turn students’ another ordinary week into unforgettable one. You know that the students of this Department have second language to learn. These are one of the worldwide and most spoken languages like, Korean, Chinese, French and German. Among them nimble teachers of Korean language are willing to dedicate one week of Korean language for the sake of students. Unfortunately, Professor volunteers aren’t able to come, but they are waiting for photos from teachers.
Purpose of teachers is that they want students to feel a whole week of Korean vibe. So, students are going to spend this week efficiently. Korean week scheduled to the date on December 5th of 2022. Furthermore, it sounds so fascinating and attractive. It is necessary to say that it adds in three steps. In the Day of first on the 5th of December at 11.30 , students can show Korean national dance or any kind of traditional songs. It’s up to you, if you are keen on singing or dancing it is an opportunity to show your abilities.In addition, spectators can enjoy and plump into ancient Korea.
Are you k-pop lover? Then, on the 6th of December you are welcome to show your talent. In this day all students of this Department are able to show energetic k-pop songs or dances. I agree , it is really going to be uplifting!
The final stage of Korean Week… Have you guessed?? Now, turn comes to Korean chewy traditional food “Kimbap”. We ,the students of 212 ourselves, with the conducting of our teacher during korean lessons could prepare and taste it . This is just finger licking food. You can also taste it and feel Korean culinary gust on the 7th of December. How is it possible Korean week without kimbap?! Especially from the hands of students “Have one piece of Kimbap and sense yourself like in a real Korean canteen.
These coming Korean days are planned so properly by teachers. Like, begins with traditional atmosphere and follows with modern one and the final is yummy Kimbaps. Obviously, participants who prepared perfectly will be awarded in each stage.
All in all, students are so thankful for being students of such kind of creative teachers of Not only Korean language teachers ,but also to the Whole Department teachers of English Language and Literature . Especially, for the dean Kurbanbaev Djavod for supporting idea . And we wish them not to get tired and to go on setting literary parties , Language weeks , competitons and spelling bees.

ДЕНЬ ФРАНЦУЗСКОГО ЯЗЫКА
15 декабря 2022 года на кафедре Английского языка и литературы факультета Иностранных языков КГУ отмечалось День французского языка с приобщением к французской культуре, языку и истории.
Цель мероприятия - уважать многоязычие и культурное разнообразие. Французский является официальным языком в 32 странах мира, 60% франкоговорящих – это люди младше 30 лет, французский занимает второе место в Европейском Союзе в качестве родного языка и третье место в интернет-пространстве. Надо отмечать, что французский не зря известен как один из самых романтичных языков. Длинный список талантливых поэтов, писателей и художников - французы, и их произведения выдержали испытание временем.
На мероприятии студенты второго курса выразительно прочитали стихотворения поэта Gilbert Becaud «Quand il est mort le poète», а также стихотворения поэта Jean Aicard «Ma mère que j'aime beaucoup», в котором демонстрировала свои способности и владение французским языком.
Гвоздём программы стало выступление студентов в традиционных и современных французских нарядов, а также демонстрация блюд из изысканной кухней Франции. Национальная французская кухня отличается разнообразием и смелым сочетанием вкусов, основываясь на простых продуктах, из которых создаются сложные блюда.
Одним словом, празднование Дня французского языка привлекло творческих студентов к тому, чтобы развлечься и улучшить свои устные навыки н иностранных языках.

FRENCH LANGUAGE DAY
On December 15, 2022, the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of KSU celebrated the Day of the French Language with an introduction to French culture, language and history.
The purpose of the event is to respect multilingualism and cultural diversity.
It is known that French is the official language in 32 countries of the world, 60% of French speakers are under 30 years old, French ranks second in the European Union as a native language and third in the Internet space. French is considered as one of the most romantic languages. Therefore, a long list of talented poets, writers and artists are French, and their works have stood the testing of time.
At the event, the second-year students expressively read the poems of the poet Gilbert Becaud "Quand il est mort le poète", as well as the poems of the poet Jean Aicard "Ma mère que j'aime beaucoup", in which they demonstrated her abilities and command of the French language.
The highlight of the program was the performance of students in traditional and modern French outfits, as well as a demonstration of dishes from the exquisite cuisine of France. The national French cuisine is distinguished by a variety and a bold combination of flavors, based on simple products from which complex dishes are created.
In short, the celebration of the French Language Day attracted creative students to have fun and improve their oral skills.

THE MYSTICAL ATMOSPHERE OF CHINA
Chinese language and Culture events were held at the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of KSU.
The purpose of this event was to introduce KSU students to Chinese culture and plunge into the Chinese atmosphere.
In his speech, the Dean of the faculty Djavod Kurbanbayev noted that the cooperation between the two countries of China and Uzbekistan is consistently expanding and deepening in all spheres, including in the field of culture and education. Therefore, the popularity of the Chinese language among young people is growing, which helps them to learn Chinese with great interest and immerse themselves in the unique Chinese culture.
During the party, it was possible to watch a concert program: traditional Chinese chants and dances, national costumes of women and men, and participate in a quiz, where all guests actively participated in it. There were several workshops and exhibitions: everyone could learn how to write hieroglyphs with a brush, and get acquainted with the traditional art of paper cutting.

Being Karsu student presentable?
The first and important point that needs to be mentioned is that our University has a key which opens the doors of your bright future. Furthermore, this sacred place in which students, day by day, gain knowledge, provides lots of opportunities to make progress and prepare to your future vacation.
The next point is that KarSu has cons along with pros. Beginning with superiority, our University enters top 1000 best Universities around the planet. In addition, it is the only State University of our Karakalpakstan, so it includes all of the necessary faculties like faculty of foreign languages, faculty of economics, juridical faculty and so on, in where students are taught by highly-educated professors and teachers. For this reason, almost everyone I'm our Karakalpakstan tends to enter and study here. But only selected and deserving can sit on chairs of KSU and get further education.
Main purpose of our University of to grow up intelligent generation for the sake of the development of our country. Consequently, knowledge and punctuality takes the first and major place. Also, sometimes active teachers and students set parties , interesting competitions and intellectual games that makes our studying more exciting and enjoyable. Moreover, if student's house is far from the university you may stay at a dormitory that affords you to live in a good enacting with friendly community.
But as it is said «Nothing is ideal in our life». One thing would be better to be changed. It is a uniform. We know that uniforms should be worn in order to all the students not to differ from each other according to material sides. Anyway, being a pupil we wore uniforms wit dark blue colors so the uniform of university also requires to wear like this. Thereat, it would be uplifting to create its own unique uniforms. So that, students can be noticed and differ from another pupils or workers. And anyone in the street will know from our clothes that we are learners of this prestigious university. It may include skirts for girls and classical trousers for males and females in another color.
After all, students are proud of being a part of KarSu. As in this place they set their first steps to independent life after school. So , in here learners realize how is is important to responsible, tractable, curious and always motivates to become better or best vision of yourself. Of course, among other students it may be challenging to show your brain full of knowledge, for this reason you will also be taught to be nimble , smart and be easy-going.
Yes, we were able to do and we are students! It is not the end but it is only the beginning of building our lovely future.

Training for English language teachers
Today, on December 1, 2022, a training for English language teachers organized by the British Council in the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at KSU. Aidan Holland, the Chief project manager of Global Assessment Solutions, as well as the coordinator of training manuals at the British Council, shared his experience and knowledge on Aptis. He has a Master's degree in TEFL/SL from the University of Birmingham and currently has a special interest in language assessment testing.
Master classes and seminars were designed for teachers of higher educational institutions. The training was attended by more than 30 people who received certificates and a welcome pack confirming that they have successfully completed the training and will be able to apply their knowledge in practice.
Here are just some of the topics that were included in the rich program of the training:
understanding the quality, validity and reliability aspects and test scoring system;
understanding tasks and CEFR levels at B2 and C;
insider tips on Speaking and Writing – What examiners are looking for?
Q&A section.
The most valuable feature of the training is its practical orientation. Each of the proposed methods and methods of training was worked out during group, pair or individual work. According to the results of the master classes, the participants presented several group and individual projects: they created their own info charts and blogs, developed additional tasks for textbook materials, practiced setting goals and developing optimal ways to achieve them. This approach guarantees the consolidation of new skills and the willingness to apply them in working with students.
All participants of the training express their sincere gratitude to the British Council, as well as to Aidan Holland for informative and effective training, clear organization of work and the opportunity to consolidate the knowledge gained in practice.

⚡️Fall Season party celebrated at specialized school #37 of the city of Nukus

On November 1st, 2022 at specialized school #37, the Fall Season party has been celebrated by organizing several activities with the 4th year of students from the Department of English language and Literature of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Karakalpak State University.

There were organized various activities related to English language and culture, which purpose is to strengthen and enhance even more the English language in this school. This celebration engaged the creative pupils in order to have fun and improve their oral skills. As always, all participants had an extraordinary quality time together.

Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Chimbay branch of KSU

Today, on September 23, a meeting was held for the 1st year students studying at the Chimbay faculty by dedicated students of our faculty with the professors and teachers of English Language and Literature Department of Karakalpak State University.
The main goal of today’s seminar is to meet with students studying at the Chimbay faculty, to introduce them with the opportunities created at the Karakalpak State University, to hold master classes on the development of English language skills, and to motivate students to develop their abilities.
During the seminar, the head of the English Language and Literature Department Uteshova Zernegul, and the experienced teachers of the department Atashova Feruza and Sadullaeva Alfiya, introduced important ideas and approaches to learning English, and talked about the important role of modern pedagogical technologies in learning.
Dedicated young students of the faculty held presentations, interactive games, and discussions about different and easy ways of learning languages in small groups. Commemorative gifts were given on behalf of the team of English Language and Literature Department to the students who participated in the test of their knowledge during the event.

Meeting with the first-year students
On September 6, 2022, a traditional meeting of first-year students with the team of the Department of English language and literature was organized, the purpose of which was to acquaint students with the conditions and procedures for studying at the Faculty of foreign languages.
All representatives of the Department of English language and literature along with the dean of the faculty Dj.A.Kurbanbaev and head of the Department Z. X. Uteshova took part in it.
At the meeting students got acquainted with the information about the faculty in detail, and also received answers to all questions of interest to them.
