On September 12, Fergana State University welcomed Matthew Cabiles, our new Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), together with Feruz Akobirov from the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan 🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸

Since 2017, the Faculty of Foreign Languages has been collaborating with fellows and ELT specialists through various U.S. Embassy and . Over the years, this partnership has brought valuable opportunities for cultural exchange and new perspectives to our students and faculty.

We are delighted to continue this long-standing collaboration and warmly welcome Matthew to our university. We look forward to a productive academic year ahead! ✨

Today we discussed and reviewed the curricula for the new academic year.
We exchanged ideas on course content, teaching methods, learning outcomes, and ways to make our classes more practical, engaging, and useful for our students.
Preparing for a new academic year is always about setting new goals, improving what we do, and working together to provide better learning opportunities for our students.

It is always inspiring to see how far our university has come and how much has been achieved through shared effort, dedication, and belief in progress.
As Head of the English Department, I feel truly proud to see Fergana State University advance to the 801-1000 band in the THE Impact Rankings 2026. Over the past five years, our university has achieved remarkable progress and many important victories, and this result is another strong reflection of that journey.
This achievement is not just about rankings. It is about people, dedication, teamwork, and the shared belief that our university can make a meaningful contribution beyond borders.
I am grateful to be part of Fergana State University and to work alongside colleagues who continue to strengthen our international presence with commitment and vision.

On April 21, our faculty hosted a Career Day event to strengthen professional guidance and cooperation between education and practice.
The event brought together our graduates, as well as representatives of both public and private schools. They shared their experience, discussed career opportunities, and gave valuable advice to our students.
Career Day is an important platform for helping students better understand their future profession, build useful connections, and see real career paths after graduation.
We are grateful to all our guests, graduates, colleagues, and students for their active participation and support.
