Friday, July 15: The Loyola Intercambio crew starts its return home today via Iguazu Falls, Brazil on LAN. Ours has been an amazing service, language and cultural experience over the course of the last 35 days. Thank you to all who have made this enlivening experience possible for us, parents, friends, colegio hosts and staff as well as sponsors. AMDG.

Provincia Misiones, Argentina. Loyola visit to the historic Jesuit mission ruin of San Ignacio Mini. Location is near Posadas, Argentina. Same day we visited the Wanda Minas near Cataratas Iguazu.

Sunday Mass concluding the week long Pachacuti service experience in Uruguay. Conducted in the Cathedral of San Jose. Parents and Pachacuti alumni joined the 400 students engaged in this year's program.

By Saturday, late afternoon, all of the 400 students and chaperones came together for an evening of reflection, storytelling and celebrating based on the their experiences of he past week. An amazing epoxoerince of sharing, listening and celebrating insights, friendships and achievements of the week. It was impressive to listen to the 12 Loyola students tell their stories of the week. Today the Loyola chaperones visited the six service sites where the 12 Loyola students spent the week constructing homes for homeless poor families in the Mercedes area of Uruguyay near the Rio Uruguay in western Uruguay. Each service team lived and worked together for this past week.

All 12 Loyola students are being sent to serve in Mercedes, UY, in the western region of the country. Our. Students will assist in the construction of permanent housing for poor families do. Montevideo, UY. Templo Sagrado Corazon. Commissioning Mass to start the weeklong Pachacuti service camp. 400 students from Jesuit colegios and high schools in the US, including Loyola LA.

The community of families, faculty , staff and Jesuis of the Colegio San Javier in Tacuarembo have served as host to five Intercambio Cubs and two chaperones. Thank you for great times of storytelling, great meals, tours, interesting classes and gifted souvenirs. On Sunday, June 26, we depart northern Uruguay for Montevideo in the costal south to begin the Pachacuti service camp at 25 different rural communities in the interior of the country. Loyola students and chaperones will join 400 other students from the secondary divisions from Jesuit colegios in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.
