The Central Student Council of Misamis University joins the nation in observing National Hazing Prevention Week from February 9–13, 2026, in line with Proclamation No. 907.

Hazing has no place in our university and in any organization that values dignity, safety, and genuine brotherhood or sisterhood. True leadership is built on respect. True unity is formed through trust — not fear.

Let us continue to promote safe spaces where every student feels protected, valued, and heard. Together, we stand for a community free from violence and abuse.

𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 invites everyone to take part in the celebration of the Sinulog Festival, a significant cultural and religious event in the Philippines. Celebrated every January in Cebu City, the Sinulog Festival honors the Santo Niño, or Child Jesus, symbolizing faith, devotion, and gratitude.

The traditional Sinulog dance, characterized by two steps forward and one step backward, represents the journey of life guided by faith.

We encourage everyone to join us in witnessing the Sinulog Festival Presentation on January 26, 2026, at the MU Covered Court.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

It was far from perfect but it was real. This year taught us so much. We went through a lot, lost ourselves more than once, cried and healed in ways we never imagined, and somehow found the strength to keep going. There were moments when everything felt like it was falling apart and coming together at the same time. We felt lost, yet strangely free. We were both the happiest and the saddest we’ve ever been.

We learned how to let go while still holding on. We lost versions of ourselves we thought would last forever, and met new ones we never expected. There were days that broke us, and days that quietly stitched us back together. We loved, we healed, we tried again. Even after everything, our hearts still believe in beautiful endings.

What a weird year. Not perfect, but deeply meaningful. A year we will always be grateful for.

As we step into 2026, we carry this truth with us: a new year won’t magically change our lives—but we can. The universe doesn’t respond to wishful thinking; it responds to clear energy and consistent action. And we’re ready to show up for what’s next.
