Good morning, Panther Band!

It’s the first week of the 2024 Marching Band season! Below you will find the schedule for this week! If you student is in percussion and doesn’t know their assignment for marching band, please reach out to Mr. Murphy or Miss Gibson via email! Also, it’s not too late for those interested in joining the color guard! No experience needed, just show up to rehearsal!

The band has launched a new page to help correct the name among other things we needed for a new page... please make sure you follow and like the new page to stay up to date with the Maysville Band!

Maysville Bands All your Maysville Band information for grades 5-12!

Don't forget! Tonight there is a MANDATORY Marching Band Meeting for all students and parents who are planning on doing marching band next year! This meeting will be held at 6:00 pm in the Auditieria! This year, a lot of things with Marching Band are changing, you MUST be at this meeting!

The Maysville High School Color Guard will be having open gyms for anyone currently in grades 8-11 and interested in joining color guard for the marching band season! No experience necessary! If you have any questions email Miss Gibson ([email protected])

Just a reminder that tonight is the Music Department Banquet at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria! This banquet is for all students who participated in the high school music department this year! That includes: Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, Color Guard, Winter Guard, Concert Choir and Panther Tones! (Hope I didn't miss any!)

We look forward to seeing our students and families tonight as we celebrate all of our wonderful accomplishments!

Tuesdays Middle School Band and Choir Concert @ 6:30 pm
Wednesday: High School Band and Choir Concert @ 6:30 pm

Hello, Panther Band! If you have a student who traveled with us to Disney, we will be home earlier than the itinerary says! We will be arriving at the school around 4:15!

Here is the information about Wednesday and Thursday your student should have brought home to you yesterday along with the updated itinerary! Times were adjusted each day only in the morning because of the park operation hours!

It's Disney Week for the High School Music Department! We leave in just 3 days for the sunshine state! There will be a paper coming home today with information about Wednesday and Thursday this week! Please look for it! It will also be posted here later today or early tomorrow!

Remember that there is a MANDATORY rehearsal for all students going to Disney in BOTH band and choir on Wednesday this week!

Congratulations to The Maysville High School Concert Band. They received straight “I” superior ratings tonight, (The highest you can receive in OMEA), at State Concert Band Contest. The students did an outstanding job!

Their next big event is a parade down Main Street, USA at Disney World. All are welcome to come out and see them in the Maysville Auditeria at 6:30 on May 15th.

For those of you that were are the Disney Meeting and your student was not, the QR code was posted to the app this morning. Please share it with them. Students and Parents of the trip can join the app. If you do not have the QR Code and need it, please email me at [email protected] and I will get it to you!
