It's looking a lot like Chritmas!🎄🎅☃️

As most of you may know, we are back in the Wellton house, just in time for Christmas. I had heard that The Lemon Grove had Christmas trees, and I made sure that was one of my very first stops getting back.

Y’all this tree is so dang fresh! It still smells amazing after nearly a week! If you haven’t gotten your fresh, real tree yet you absolutely need to rush over to The Lemon Grove and get it now before it’s too late!

This is probably the best Christmas tree I have ever purchased ❤️

Life gives us opportunity and experience. Sometimes in life we need to take steps back to take leaps and bounds forward. This is not the end of a journey but the beginning. We know where and what we need to be successful. Thank you Colorado for the humbling experience of off grid life. We will return when the time is right. For now, Arizona is our home and we will make it in these adventures called life. Keep pushing on and make life yours. Its one hell of an adventure.

I had a huge long post planned, explaining what’s going on, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized transparency is best. You guys are here to see what we do, how we do it, and what life in the southwest of the United States is like.

I’ll be the first to admit, I am not cut out for off grid life, at least not yet. Trying to do off grid going into winter really tested my limits, and tested me. I won’t sugar coat it when I say it was one of the hardest ways of living I’ve experienced. Worrying about power every day, making sure we had heat to keep the kids warm, maintaining our animals in a new environment and with new routines. It really was difficult on me.

This is not the end, however. I’m not giving up on my goals to have a bigger homestead somewhere else. We just need to regroup and reevaluate everything and put our goals more in focus.

We’re still going to be sharing our life and the things we do, it’ll just be at the property back in Yuma, AZ for a little while. There is no shame in realizing what you are able to do and unable to do, and for me off grid living isn’t for me, at least not yet. Give me a few years, and maybe I can do it again.

It was definitely a very cold morning milking, everything was frozen, even my nose 😅
