At our monthly Roadrunners Rise assembly, we had the privilege of recognizing three outstanding members of our Roadrunner family whose dedication and heart make Yucca Mesa Elementary a special place.

Congratulations to Michelle Mecham, our MTA Nominated Teacher of the Year! Michelle’s commitment to students and passion for education shine through in all that she does. She continuously goes above and beyond to support student learning and create meaningful experiences for all.

Congratulations to Sheri Enochs, our Classified Staff Member of the Year, nominated by our staff! Sheri has been a steady, caring, and supportive presence at Yucca Mesa. Her dedication, kindness, and willingness to help others have made a lasting impact on our students, families, and staff.

Congratulations to Brandi Ficara, our Certificated Staff Member of the Year, nominated by our staff! Brandi’s leadership, compassion, and commitment to students and colleagues embody the very best of our Roadrunner community. She is a consistent source of support and positivity for those around her.

These three individuals represent the heart of Yucca Mesa Elementary and truly embody the Roadrunner Way. We are thankful for each of you and proud to celebrate your accomplishments today!

What an amazing evening at our Yucca Mesa Literacy Night!

Thank you to all of our students, families, and staff who came out to celebrate the joy of reading and learning together. It was wonderful to see our classrooms filled with smiles, stories, and meaningful family engagement.

A special thank you to our incredible literacy coaches for supporting and helping make the night a success, to our PTO parents for assisting and making sure everything went smoothly, and to our ELOP program for generously providing pizza and books for the students and families who attended. Your support helped make the evening extra special for our Roadrunner community!

At Yucca Mesa Elementary, we know that strong readers are built through strong partnerships between school and home. Thank you for being part of it! 💙🖤
