Puentes parents strike again!! I have run out of WOWs and AMAZINGs to describe these phenomenal parents that we are so fortunate to have as part of Puentes! Today was day #2 of clearing out and beautifying one of our courtyards! Parents Sarah, Jason and Heather were here today and yesterday along with Kayla working so hard for our Puentes community! I just absolutely cannot express in words the gratitude and love we have for our families! Our courtyard is almost completely cleared out AND we got a
bountiful harvest of carrots along the way. Thanks to our little helpers too! I am sure Sarah and Jason have more pics! Mil gracias!

Our first year as Ypsilanti Puentes Multilingual School in our own beautiful building with our entire fabulous staff under one roof, has been nothing short of phenomenal! I cannot express in words the gratitude, joy and pride I have for my team, the families of Puentes and our community. This is only the beginning of what we will accomplish. Thank you to YCS, mil gracias to our families and community. Get ready for our bilingual, brilliant scholars to shine brighter than ever!

And just like that, our first school year comes to an end.

What an incredible year it has been! Thank you to our students, families, and staff for helping make this first year so special. Together, we built a community filled with learning, growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

A heartfelt thank you to the University of Michigan Marsal Family School of Education interns who supported and became part of our Puentes community this spring. 💛

Thank you for sharing your time, energy, and talents with our students. Your dedication, kindness, and commitment made a meaningful impact, and we are grateful for all the ways you contributed to our school community.

We’re excited to celebrate a new partnership between the Marsal Family School of Education ELD Program and Puentes Multilingual School! This spring, 29 teaching interns are completing clinical experiences in this bilingual learning community while working toward the Michigan Department of Education PK–12 English as a Second Language endorsement. Through classroom collaboration, small-group support, and learning alongside multilingual students and educators, interns are deepening their practice in powerful and meaningful ways.

We are so grateful to the Puentes community for welcoming our interns and helping prepare the next generation of teachers for multilingual and bilingual classrooms. 💙💛

Our last assembly was full of surprises!
