This is the Mobile Environmental Education Center. Contact me about arranging a visit at your site.
We go to where the audience is to discuss options for alternative energy and fuel and better building techniques and materials.

I am really exhausted by all of the white washing of just how bad and dangerous this type of energy production. And then the energy company advertisements tout"we have energy reserves for The Next 50 Years (emphasis mine)' Next 50 years and then WHAT? Our country is over 230 years old. And then what?
Outrage Erupts After Energy Committee Evaluating Dangerous Gas Drilling Practice Is Stacked With 'Ex All but one member of the group has financial ties to the oil and gas industry.

Really great work is being done in biofuels. These are forms of fuel that can be created anywhere - namely - HERE.
Michigan exported more than $14.8 billion for gasoline in 2009, according to a report by the Ecology Michiganders sent $14.8 billion to other countries and states to import gasoline in 2009, according to an analysis by the Ecology Center, the Ann Arbor-based environmental organization.
I am washing the roof of The Cruiser so I can post a note up there so that the photo satellites can see/photo that I want to have solar panels installed up there. Sending a message out into the universe.
Talk about climate change, I think we have altitude! The Cruiser has lichen growing on the roof! Fortunately it comes off fairly easily.

I wonder if the big media outlets will cover this like they did the Power Shift 2011 last weekend?
Come to the largest climate rally ever on the D.C. mall on April 25 Earth Day Network is organizing a huge event on the Mall in Washington D.C. on April 25. The goal is to demand tough, effective climate legislation and a swift transition away from 19th century energy sources. "So what?" you may be asking yourself. There

FYI: Germany has more cloudy days than we do, but solar still works for them.
Los Angeles to slather its rooftops with solar panels Here's a crazy idea: apply the same incentives that have made Germany the world leader in rooftop solar power to a place that is actually sunny. Also, use the power generated from these panels to zero out the electricity costs of people in low-income housing, so the city has more money for education

Notice the U of M research...
Physics breakthrough could mean solar panels made of nothing but glass Exploiting an effect previously thought too small to be worth anyone's time, a bunch of researchers at the University of Michigan have figured out how to exploit the magnetic properties of light in a way that could ultimately lead to solar panels made entirely of glass or transparent ceramics. "We

What if the $152 billion to clean up Fukushima were spent on solar instead? The projected cost for the management of the Fukushima crisis is $152 billion. And that doesn't even include the cost of building and operating the plant in the first place. What if all that scratch had been spent on solar panels instead? It would be amazing, that's what. Read the following infogr

What if the $152 billion to clean up Fukushima were spent on geothermal instead? Here's a crazy idea: why not use the enormous geothermal resource under Japan -- which is after all sitting on a "ring" made of "fire" -- as a source of nearly always-on baseload power? I asked Alex Richter, an Icelandic financier of geothermal energy projects, how much geothermal energy $152 bill

No one irradiated...
Wind turbine suffers catastrophic failure; no one is irradiated Last month, a wind turbine on a North Dakota wind farm suffered a "catastrophic failure" when "oversight" and "human error" -- features of energy infrastructure which scientists suggest are unavoidable -- led to the enormous turbine falling off its mount. The most recent reports indicate that so f

And this is in OIL country.
Texas to install world’s largest wind energy storage system The Lone Star State's massive turbine farms sometimes generate more electricity than the grid can handle. A mega-huge battery could solve the problem.
