This is a wonderful time of year to reflect and look forward. In the past 90 days, what have been your successes personally and professionally? What new things did you learn? In what ways did you grow? Ask these questions of your team too. Write these down, then stand back and take in all of the great things that you accomplished.

Then look forward. There is no reason to wait until January 1 to begin planning for your next important steps. As you look to the next 6 months, what do you want to explore, accomplish, and upskill on? Who do you want to be as you show up in your personal and professional life? Once you establish this, it's time to take a first step towards realization. Don't let fear win. Learning and growth are supposed to be uncomfortable. The only way to expand your comfort zone is to step outside of it. You've got this!

What are energizers for you at work? The things that bring you joy?

Challenge: Look at your calendar for the week. Circle the things you are looking forward to. What characteristics do each have? Who are you doing them with? Then consider, how can you spend more time doing these activities moving forward. With focus and intention, we can craft work that aligns with our energy and if you have employees who report to you, you can do the same for them. Engaged employees = engaged customers = increased sales and profits. And we'll all be happier at work and at home.
