Happy International Day for Women and Girls in Science!!
Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Today marks the 2nd annual celebration of a day designated by the United Nations to recognize women's contributions to science and highlight efforts to "achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls."
It's never too early to teach your kids that science is for everyone! And, a fantastic way to do so is by introducing them to stories of real-life female scientists and girls who love science. In A Mighty Girl's blog post, "50 Books to Inspire Science-Loving Mighty Girls," you can find dozens of titles for children and teens at http://www.amightygirl.com/blog?p=13914
If you'd like to encourage your Mighty Girl's interest in science, you can find many girl-empowering science toys and kits in our blog post, "Top 50 Science Toys for Mighty Girls" at http://www.amightygirl.com/blog?p=10528
And, if your Mighty Girl loves to show off her love of science, visit our "Science & Tech T-shirts" section at http://www.amightygirl.com/clothing?clothing_themes=146
