Yesterday, in Coach Doug Pereira’s Sports Marketing I class, students completed their quarter long football team management assignment by “playing” their class’s own football championship. At the beginning of the quarter, students began to schedule their games. Later, once their games had been scheduled, they began to simulate the games where the winner was decided with the roll of some dice. Finally, this assignment came to a climactic conclusion with a final winner being crowned the champion. In Pereira’s 1A class, for example, the champions were the Oregon Ducks.
