💚🌽 MEET THE FACES BEHIND YORKTOWN SEPTA 🤍

Last but not least, our Treasurer, Lisa Bucolo!

Lisa is excited to join the SEPTA PTA and is looking forward to a wonderful year ahead! She brings a wealth of experience to the role, having dedicated many years of service to the Yorktown PTA community. Her PTA journey began at French Hill Elementary School, and she later served as Treasurer at Brookside Elementary, Crompond Elementary, Mildred E. Strang Middle School, and the YCSD Council of the PTSA's. She then went on to serve as President of both the Yorktown High School PTA and the YCSD Council of the PTSA's.

Throughout the years, Lisa has helped with countless initiatives, including school supply drives, fundraising campaigns, Fright Night, and events such as the Harlem Wizards basketball game.

Lisa is the proud mother of two sons: Jason, a Yorktown High School graduate, and Matthew, a member of the Class of 2025. Although her children have graduated, her dedication to supporting students and families remains as strong as ever. Through years of advocating for her son's IEP, Lisa gained firsthand experience navigating the special education process and understands the importance of ensuring every child has access to the services, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed. She is passionate about using that experience to support and advocate for all students and their families.

💚 🤍Meet the Faces Behind Yorktown SEPTA 🌽

Next up, meet our Vice President, Jackie Ripepi!

Jackie is a devoted mom to an 8 year old boy who loves animals, science, and music. She loves working alongside other SEPTA parents to support district families, build community and connections, and advocate for our students. Jackie’s favorite areas of SEPTA work involve projects that support wellness of special needs students and their families.

Jackie has worked as a clinical social worker since 2008. Working in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and later specializing in trauma has instilled in her a deep commitment to human service. Her professional work has led to a passion for advocacy for a range of issues. One particular issue that has become increasingly important to her is the application of a neuro-affirming and trauma informed lens within both healthcare and education for people with disabilities.

In her spare time, Jackie loves spending time with her son in nature, listening to music, exploring, and creating. Jackie also enjoys spending time with other loved ones, training for short distance triathlons, and reading.
