This is such a powerful episode — whether you identify as a woman or not.
It’s thoughtful, validating, and packed with insight about media, body image, and how we show up for the next generation.
Highly recommend giving it a listen. 🎧🫶🏼

Help us bring accessible child care to York — and get a 65% tax credit while doing it.
The Kroh’s Nest is a nonprofit early learning center opening soon in York County. We’re here to support children and their families through flexible, nurturing care — and we’re looking for local business partners who want to help make it happen.
We’re applying for Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), which offers businesses a 65% PA state tax credit for contributing to approved nonprofit projects like ours.
If your business is interested in supporting our mission (or you know someone who might be), we have a simple contributor letter template ready to go.
Commitment letters are due by May 12th, 2025.
Send us a message (or email [email protected]) if you’d like more info — we’d love to partner with you!

Starting The Kroh’s Nest isn’t about me — it’s about building something families actually need.
I’ve seen what’s out there: crowded classrooms, rigid schedules, and care that feels more like a system than a support. The Kroh’s Nest is my way of saying, we can do better.
We’re creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore — and just as importantly, where parents feel seen and cared for too. From flexible hours to low enrollment, every detail is being designed with real families in mind.
We’re still getting everything ready, but I’m so grateful you’re here as this vision takes shape!

A friend at work was recently sharing how tough transitions have been with their son - knocking things off tables or pulling items from shelves. It’s a common way for kids to express big feelings when they’re unsure how to handle change, even if It’s just to the next activity.
✨ Here are a few strategies that can help:
1️⃣ Give a heads-up – Try saying, “In five minutes, we’re going to clean up and head outside.”
2️⃣ Use visuals – A simple picture schedule can help kids know what’s coming next.
3️⃣ Offer choices – “Do you want to pick up your toys before or after putting on your shoes?”
Every child is different, and finding what works best can take some trial and error.
❓What strategies have you tried to help your child with transitions? We’d love to hear what’s worked for your family!

✨Exciting news!✨
The Kroh’s Nest is now officially a nonprofit!
This is a big step toward creating the kind of space we’ve been dreaming about — one that feels safe, loving, and more like home than a classroom.
We’re still in the early stages, but things are starting to come together, and we can’t wait to share more soon. Stay tuned!
