The White Rose Sugar Art Competition celebrates creativity in every sweet form. In addition to cake entries, competitors can showcase their skills in 2D flat cookie designs, 3D cookie structures, and gingerbread houses—categories that have inspired everything from charming, simple pieces to truly spectacular showstoppers over the years. Whether you’re planning a beautifully decorated cookie scene, a sculptural cookie build, a gingerbread house, or something completely unexpected, we can’t wait to see what you create. ✨The Vocational and Teen Division of the White Rose Sugar Art Competition is designed for young sugar artists ages 13 through 18, including high school level culinary arts students. This division gives emerging decorators an opportunity to demonstrate creativity, technical skill, and presentation in a judged competition.

Entries in this division may be submitted in one or more of three categories: An Occasion, Novelty, and Tiered. Participants are encouraged to use this division as a learning experience, applying classroom training and creative problem-solving to produce a polished sugar art display.

Specific requirements for this division are provided in the official Rules and Regulations. Entrants should review those rules carefully before planning, registering, and delivering their competition piece.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be spotlighting the divisions offered in the White Rose Sugar Art Competition — beginning with our Adult Divisions!
Adult Divisions are open to competitors ages 18 and over and are organized by skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced/Semi-Pro, Professional, and Master. Full description of each level can be found in the competition Rules.
Within each division, competitors may enter one cake in each of three categories: Occasion, Novelty, and Tiered.
