Art of a Different Color

Art of a Different Color We are excited to introduce "Art of a Different Color" Art Class for kids. We will learn about different Artists and their particular technique.

Creation is at the heart of a visual arts curriculum. In our classes children will learn about the "Master Artist" and their famous paintings. Then they will create a piece of art similar to the Master Artist they are learning about. The class will be using various tools, processes, paints and many other medias. They will be encourage to create their own interpretation of the famous art piece. During our classes they will also learn terms used in art, names of different types of art, colors and blending colors and we will introduce different types of items you can use to create art, not just a paint brush. Our goal is to open their minds to see the world around them in different colors! Our program will help students’ self-esteem flourish when they see what they can achieve by using similar media/art technics as the Art Masters. When the art piece is complete children are proud of what they have accomplished. Our hope is that this program will build confidence in your child and have them believe they can accomplish anything, and that it's ok to think "Outside the Box" sometimes.
