Today, we learned about Kindness & Goodness! God wants us to show kindness and goodness toward others. Sometimes that’s not so easy, especially when others aren’t kind to us. Our Bible study this morning was David Shows Kindness (2 Samuel 9:1-13). How can you model Goodness & Kindness to your kids this week?

If you’d like to keep the conversation going, you might ask your kids “How did David show kindness?” You might also ask “Hey… Can you spell Mephibosheth??” Tell them Mr. Jerry wants to know. 😉

Right now, in Hillcrest Kids, we’re learning about the Fruit of the Spirit! This week, our Need to Know was “I Can Have Peace.” Our Bible story was Jesus Walks on Water (Mark 6:45-52). Our 2-3 year olds learned that I Can Pray Anywhere!

How can you remind your kids that they can have peace this week?

With the first week of our 2026/27 school year almost all done, we’d like to thank all of our teachers and school staff members who love, care, and pray for our children every day. It is an absolute blessing to have so many adults in our kids’ lives who love and nurture them and help them build a strong relationship with Christ no matter where they are.

Thank you all for loving God and loving our children so well!

On Sunday, we welcomed our kids to “big church” where we prayed and worshipped together in preparation for the new school year. We are always grateful for those who help lead and care for our children while helping them to remember “who they are and whose they are” no matter where they are. We’re so excited for the 2026/27 school year, and we pray every day for our children and all of the school staff members who care for them each day.

Back in kids church, we continued our lesson on the Fruit of the Spirit!
