Rose Drive Elementary School

Our end of the school year was full of great memories! We celebrated our scholars who earned their “One of a Kind” t-shirts for following our core values of Being Safe, There and Ready, Acting Responsibly, Being Respectful, and Showing Compassion. Our PTA also led an amazing carnival and talent show. Students also showed off their spring art and presentations. Thank you to all our Roadrunner families, students, and staff for helping us grow. Have a wonderful summer!

May was filled with lots of events and we started off the month with “May the 4th Be With You” as that is what our PE teacher, Mr. B, focuses on for our positive behavior and Jedi strength. We also had Staff Appreciation Week and our lounge was filled with goodies and decor. We felt so lucky and truly appreciated~our families go above and beyond! We also celebrated Donuts with Dad or a Love One and had exciting presentations and field trips. Finally, thank you to The Kiwanis Club of Placentia for our buddy bench. Our Roadrunner scholars are on their way to climbing the pyramid of success.

What a way to end April! Roadrunners are displaying grit in classrooms by working on opinion writing, working on i-Ready goals, supporting each other and focusing on their personal best. This week our PTA led Bingo for Books and Muffins with Mom/Loved One! Rose Drive is proud to celebrate special people in our community who help our Roadrunners shine. Thank you to all our families who joined us. A special thank you to our Love Yorba Linda volunteers as well!

April has been filled with lots of smiles to be had with our Kindness Squad Spring Breeze Carnival for students, Meet the Masters Art Program, Open House, and more. This month we are focusing on grit and fitness and never giving up. Our Roadrunners are hard working scholars!

Part 2 of Our Lunch with a Loved One Event and Spring Book Fair! 🌻🐣

During the month of March we focused on Team Spirit and Cooperation. Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for their teamwork with Read Across America, Shrek the Musical Jr, field trips, and Lunch with a Loved One. So many smiles to be had!

Our second trimester was filled with lots of learning, fun, and more! Please see our photos from our Winter Book Fair, Jog-A-Thon Assembly, Kindness Week, Global Day of Play, Kindness Carnival, and 100th Day of School. 😀

A little late in posting but we had a great week celebrating Red Ribbon Week and pledging to stay drug free. The week was filled with crazy hair day, camouflage day, and more! We also held our annual Pumpkin decorating contest and had over 70 entries. Thank you to all our Roadrunners for sharing their creativity and love of literacy with us! Finally, the week ended with our Trunk or Treat event. Smiles and fun we’re had by all! Thank you to our amazing PTA for all your support.

Our “Rising to the Top” Jog-A-Thon was a fun and active event for our Roadrunners! Students ran, walked and participated in 3 events. The sprint, the long jump, and shot put were all new this year. Thank you to all our families for your generous support and and for joining us on this special day! Go Roadrunners!

Happy Monday Roadrunners! We have finally made it to the last week of school! This week is also our last Kindness week of the school year. Dress up this week to show our amazing school spirit. We can't wait to see you this week and Go Roadrunners!
