Join us! The museum of Bronx History is launching a new exhibition celebrating dance culture in the Bronx from 1970-84 on Saturday February 28 from 4-8pm. Join us as we explore the history of Salsa, the Hustle, Breaking & Boogie - through rare photos, oral histories, vintage archives, etc…

🔥Save the Date 🗓 Saturday, February 28, 2026, 4:00pm Museum of Bronx History 3266 Bainbridge Ave. In celebration of Black History Month, join BCHS for the opening reception for a new exhibit on the innovation and development of dance cultures in The Bronx, 1970–84, including Salsa, the Hustle, Rocking, Burning, Breakin', Disco, Boogying, and other forms of African-American and Afro-Caribbean dance. Exhibit features rare personal photos and memorabilia, clothing, oral histories, video clips, and more. In memory of the late Willie Estrada, Hustle King and Rock Master, whose contributions to dance, Bronx History, and this exhibit are staggering. This was the last project Willie was working on before his transition.
