We have 4 more days to get out and vote. I hope you have taken the time to learn about the candidates and their intentions. There are some great candidates on the ballot that will serve GCSD #1 with integrity, reason and dedication. We have outstanding teachers, staff and administrators who have, and continue to devote their time and talents on behalf of our children. If elected, I will work with the board to ensure they have what they need to continue to meet and exceed our educational goals. My priorities will always be to put the students first and prioritize their needs over outside influences. Please make your voice heard and keep our schools headed in the right direction.

Hi I’m Mike Tighe and I am running for a seat on the Goshen County School Board. I live near Yoder with my wife and our two children who attend Southeast Schools. I have worked in the aviation field most of my adult life and currently work for V2X as a helicopter mechanic. When we moved here in 2016, I was truly impressed by the quality of schools in Goshen County. My goal as a board member is to work with the school board, parents, administrators, educators and leaders of Goshen County to ensure we keep our educational standards high for our children. I sincerely believe children are our future, and it is our duty to ensure they step into adulthood as prepared as they can possibly be for the challenges of a dynamic world. I will do my utmost to keep our children at the forefront of our efforts. I will keep an apolitical mindset while using every resource possible to serve as a team. I will always endeavor to communicate effectively and remain engaged in our responsibilities as a board for the betterment of our communities greatest asset, our children!
