Building relationships. Creating connections. Making a difference!

Our Learning Center staff is always looking for meaningful ways to build positive relationships with the students we serve. We know that strong relationships are the foundation for learning, growth, and success!

When students feel valued, supported, and connected, they are better positioned to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. We’re proud of our team’s commitment to meeting students where they are and helping them get where they want to be!

GCESC Celebrated Dolly Day!

On September 25th, our team joined communities across Ohio in celebrating Dolly Parton Day and we did it by wearing pink!

But for Greene County, Dolly Day means more than just a fun day to dress in pink. Dolly Parton’s legacy has a special connection to our community through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which has provided hundreds of thousands of free books to Greene County children since 2013.

Today, thousands of Greene County children receive a new book every month—helping build a love of reading, strengthen families, and give children a strong foundation for learning.

That’s something worth celebrating!

So, from all of us at GCESC… Happy Dolly Day!

Building Connections. Creating Opportunities. Preparing Students for What’s Next!

On September 15, Greene County High School students had the opportunity to take part in an incredible experience with Dean’s Plumbing, learning more about the skilled trades, career opportunities, and what it takes to build a successful future in the workforce.

Events like this are about more than introducing students to a career. They are about opening doors, building relationships, and helping students see the possibilities that exist beyond high school.

At GCESC, we are proud of the work we are doing alongside our schools, community partners, and local businesses to promote career and college readiness for students across Greene County. Whether a student’s next step is college, a skilled trade, military service, or entering the workforce, our goal is to help every student discover a pathway that matches their interests, strengths, and goals.

A big thank you to Dean’s Plumbing for investing in our students and helping us create meaningful opportunities for them to explore what comes next!
