"One of my favorite memories was going horseback riding with my three roommates through the countryside of Perugia. We woke up early one morning and took a taxi to a nearby farm for a private sunrise ride. The instructor helped us saddle up our horses before hitting the trails. This experience is so vivid for me because each of our horses had a peculiar personality that made the ride so much more fun. My horse was named Tommy and he had a chronic cough, while my friend's horse Chico simply wanted to stop to eat all the grass. We rode through farmlands and even across the river.

Another one of my favorite memories took place at a jazz bar in Perugia called Marlas. One of my close friends performed at their open mic night, and our entire program showed up to watch and support. I loved standing in the front row with my roommates dancing and cheering late into the night with the rest of this community we had found." - Natalie Fox (Davidson University), ISI Perugia - the Umbra Institute

With the application deadline for the Spring of 2027 at ISI Perugia right around the corner, now is a great time to get your application submitted! As an Alumni Ambassador, Natalie is happy to chat with you about the student experience abroad; you can email her at [email protected].
