This week, we celebrated a true legend of our building — and our college. Our favorite ESHEC custodian has officially retired!

George didn’t just keep ESHEC spotless — he took care of all of us, always making sure we were safe, supported, and never short on a smile.

Now he’s trading in his rolling cart for honey-do lists and full-time hours in his man cave.

We’ll miss George more than clean floors on a Monday morning, and we know he’s going to enjoy every minute of retirement. To keep his memory close, his former work “man cave” has been officially renamed "The George Jones Resource Area".

Once a legend, always a legend.

The Eastern Shore Higher Education Center was proud to host the State of Maryland Literacy Association's General Assembly Meeting on March 8th.

SoMLA has over 1,500 members in 17 active chapters throughout the state of Maryland. Their core mission is to empower educators, inspire students, advocate for literacy, and encourage leaders with the resources they need to make literacy accessible for all.
