Arunima Sharma: "SAP" student leader and Founder, Product Managers Club at Columbia University.

Throughout her life from a small Indian town Meerut to Microsoft AI, Arunima has been passionate about solving problems of the communities around her thereby consistently failing, on her own terms, smartly. She was awarded Google WomenTechmakers Scholarship among other awards for her leadership and passion, but claims to have had many more failures than success stories, the hidden stories 'persisting' through which leads to bigger successes. She deeply believes in the concept of 'Persistence' for achieving professional and personal goals in life however, she does not believe in the age-old definition of straightforward, rigid persistence. She wants to redefine how we look at and understand 'Persistence' by what she calls 'SAP!'- Supported Adaptive Persistence. Supported: because it takes the support of the network of people around us to succeed; Adaptive: because you need to start customizing your life's journey on your own terms and in absolute sync with you; Persistence: because failures are good lessons only when your inner core has the fire and passion to break down as a human yet stand back up with the relevant 'support' and 'adaptation'! Failures are inevitable, and they break our hearts anyway, it's time we redesign our lives on our own terms by SAPing straight to lots of smart failures yet bigger successes!

Nasim Mansuri has over ten years of experience organizing systematic community service efforts in Paraguay, Tanzania, Lithuania and the United States. She is a chemical engineering and professional writing double-major at WPI, and volunteers as a teacher for children’s moral education in Worcester neighborhoods. She currently works as an entertainment writer at Hypable.com, and a writer and editor at BahaiTeachings.org.
In Nasim’s talk, she will speak about the attitudes that often hinder community service efforts, and explore how we can change our mentality to effect lasting change.

We are excited to have Raj Singh speak at TEDxWPI! Raj believes in gaining freedom through
passive income. While obtaining his Bachelor’s degree, he entered Corporate America and grew
multiple investment businesses. Due to his success as an Entrepreneur, he left the IT field in
2007 and began to pursue his passion for music as the lead singer of a global Caribbean band.
He is now a Int’l Speaker, Award Winning Author, and Business Coach whose mission is to
empower others to overcome adversity, create financial freedom, and experience life to the
fullest.
Raj in Hindi means "King," so it is no coincidence that he is truly living a life dedicated to serving
and inspiring others, while treating his clients like royalty.

Speaking this Sunday will be Adam (AJ) Edelman, OLY (born March 14, 1991) is an American-Israeli four-time Israeli National
Champion in the skeleton event, and competed for Israel at the 2018 Winter
Olympics in Pyeongchang , South Korea. He is the first Orthodox Jew to compete in the Winter
Olympics, and the first Orthodox Jewish male to compete in either Olympic iteration.
After initially being told that he "lacked the skills necessary to become a competitive skeleton
athlete," Edelman pursued the sport, eventually qualifying for the Olympics and becoming Israel& #39;s
most decorated slider. Edelman holds Israeli track records on almost every track he has raced on,
and has competed in two World Championships for Israel. He has won two international medals in
competition, the most of Israeli sliding sport athletes.

Wisconsin-Madison. She is a dynamic motivational speaker with a gift
for intuitive and visionary coaching. She is an expert in self-
empowerment, mental + soul wellness, post-trauma growth and single
+ leadership mastery. With 20 years of experience in business +
leadership management and health + wellness advocacy, she inspires
those to unleash their potential and performance in all areas of their
life.

Today she will be expanding our thoughts on single hood and
challenging the current description. She will layout a unique
thought process that brings back EPIC power to each single,
human being no matter the “relationship” status with the goal of
ultimate impact to the world.

Come hear Anthony's story this Sunday 1-5pm in Foisie! Born and raised in Hong Kong, Anthony has always been interested in comedy and
performing since he was a young child. In high school, he discovered books explaining the
secrets of hypnosis and psychoanalysis, soon after he became addicted and took the
knowledge from the page to the stage. He later became a student of College of the Holy
Cross, majoring in theatre and philosophy. Now he combines philosophy, psychoanalysis,
intuition, comedy, and hypnosis to perform his mind-reading shows around the world.
He has performed for a variety of audiences from celebrities to top Fortune 100
companies such as Microsoft. He has also been featured on numerous media platforms such
as BBC radio, Skynews, Shields Gazette, and Evening Chronicles. He was also one of the
residential psychic performers in the world famous bar, Employees Only, in Hong Kong.
In his speech, he will be demonstrating how easy it is to hack our own minds and how
adopting certain stories will help us embrace the cyclical relationship of success and failure.

Matt Balducci is first and foremost the father two amazing children Nolan (2 yr) and Caroline (6
mon). His amazing wife Jackie has been extremely supportive through his journey. Matt has
been an entrepreneur and sales executive for his whole adult life growing 4 different
businesses and having a successful exit from his most recent company. He has won a bronze
and silver medal for a USA Baseball Organization, most recently dabbled in bodybuilding, and
now is training for a marathon. He is an Amazon Best Seller in the field of business and is an
avid movie buff.
After getting news that his biological age was 16 years older then his actual age. Matt became
obsessed with figuring out why. Over the last 3 years Matt has spend 2500+ hours researching,
reading 150+ books, and studying how to slow down biological age and stress management. He
is going to share simple science backed strategies to help anyone who is currently going
through a chronic stress filled part of their life. His main goal is to be a great example for his
kids and to help as many people live a longer, healthier, stronger, and more fulfilled life.

Miroslav Petrovic is a pioneer and thought-leader, often described as "a cross between Eckhart Tolle and Tony Robbins." He has presented across Australia, appeared across mainstream media and worked with over 4,000 people supporting them to live a life in alignment with their deeper desires.

Speaking from the heart, he fuses mindfulness with an engaging stage presence to create immersive experiences that connect and inspire. Inviting the audience to meet their ‘edge’ and dive deeper into the intimacy of the present moment.
Miroslav has spent his life confronting his own limits - from Amazonian immersions to Ashram life in India, and he continues to explore what’s possible for us as humans in relationship to each other and our fears.

Integrating ancient wisdom into contemporary life in a fun and interactive way,
participants leave feeling deeply reconnected to themselves and ready to take action in their lives.

In his talk, Sagar Mahurkar will introduce Augmented Reality (AR), its impact and applications. He will share the journey of innovation leading to smartphones intelligently detecting objects and overlaying graphics on them.

For his research, Sagar won the Best Paper Award at the IEEE annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics & Mobile Communication Conference (IEEE UEMCON 2018). He is a member of the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) Professional Honors Society and has been a reviewer of the recent publications on AR and AI.

He graduated with high distinction from WPI in 2017 and has since then initiated
and developed multiple projects related to AR, VR, and Video for Verizon.
