Worcester Cultural Academy’s 4th graders led our entire school community through their favorite books and acted out the most meaningful scenes, connecting them to our school’s Habits of Character.

They displayed poise, confidence, and command of the room as they brought to life the characters from the stories. Well done as stewards of WCA during your Community Circle!

Geometry is all around us! Worcester Cultural Academy’s 1st graders took a hands-on approach to learning math by finding and recording geometric shapes around the classroom. Take a look around you – do you see the same shapes as our first graders have?

Worcester Cultural Academy’s Kindergarten class were amazing leaders of our school during their Community Circle! They represented their countries and the packed room of students, staff, and families were overjoyed when they paraded around the room with their handmade flags. Thank you, Kindergarten, for leading such a fun and inspiring Community Circle!

The Worcester Cultural Academy school community celebrated EL Education's Better World Week by bringing in donations to support local pet pantries including our partner, Central Mass Pet Pantry!

From pet food and toys to collars and leashes, donations have been streaming in, and we will be accepting them through the end of the year.

Thanks, WCA, for making the world a better place!

Congratulations to WCA's first grade teacher, Erin Lally, for her recent honor of acceptance into the American Antiquarian Society Historic Children’s Voices Teacher Institute. We are so proud of you for this accomplishment! During the Institute, Erin and her colleagues will learn how children lived and learned in the past, and will then use those ideas to create fun, meaningful lessons for students in reading, writing, and social studies.

We can't wait for our students to benefit greatly from the curricular materials you develop based on your research on the Society's collection of early American books for children and its collection of children’s writings. Go Erin!

WCA Kindergarten students spent the morning at the EcoTarium, learning about the billions of microscopic organisms that exist in an ecosystem. As part of their research, our students visited the pond, collected water samples, and examined them under a powerful microscope to explore the ecosystem in detail. Thank you to the EcoTarium’s team for such an engaging, hands-on learning experience!
