Sigma Pi - Gamma Iota at WPI

This week’s Feature Friday is one of our sweethearts, Miki Almeida! She is a senior from Lowell, MA, perusing a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Manufacturing Engineering. On campus she’s part of Social Committee as the current Big Show chair and former President! She’s also on the senior class board and in Tau Beta Pi honor society. Some of her hobbies outside of school include playing the ukulele, art, photography, listening to music, and video games. A fun fact about her is that she has been to 14 countries across three different continents!

This week’s Feature Friday is Sam Pilato! He is a junior from Norfolk, VA, pursuing a double major in RBE & BME. He loves photography, creative writing, all kinds of boarding sports, fighting games, and playing the bass. Some fun facts about Sam are that he’s one of our incoming New Member Educators, and he has pectus excavatum!

This week’s Feature Friday is Ethan Uzdarwin! He is a junior from Ipswich, MA, pursuing a double major in Computer Science & IMGD. On campus, he is the secretary for Sigma Pi, the drummer for Quiet Hour Band, and a student representative for IMGD’s Bachelor of Science track. He likes to spend his free time writing songs and editing videos. A fun fact about Ethan is that he is currently on IQP in Copenhagen, Denmark, creating an accessible website for people with disabilities!

This week’s Feature Friday is Nick Norbutas! He’s a Mechanical Engineering major with a Fire Protection minor and comes from San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Nick has many interests including his love for motorsports, photography, surfing, tennis, golf, and climbing!

This week’s Feature Friday is Elias Montas! He’s a Data Science major and comes from Clinton, MA. On campus, he’s involved with the eSports Club.

Outside of class, Elias enjoys playing videogames, watching TV, listening to music, and spending time with pets.

A fun fact about Elias: he’s a bilingual first generation student from the Dominican Republic.

This week’s Feature Friday is Max Sivert! He’s an RBE major with a minor in Mechanical Engineering and comes from Clinton, MA. On campus, he’s involved with Sigma Pi, Guerrilla Improv, ODK, and PLA for Washburn Labs.

Outside of class, Max enjoys sketching, running, 3D modeling, and collecting vinyl.

A fun fact about Max: he once got caught in a hailstorm while biking through the Danish countryside during IQP

This week’s Feature Friday is Krish Desai! He’s a double major in Computer Science and Data Science and comes from Mansfield, MA. On campus, he’s involved with SASE.

Outside of class, Krish enjoys weight lifting, playing video games, watching shows and anime, and following football.

A fun fact about Krish: he can bench 315 pounds on bench press 💪

This week’s Feature Friday is Brent Weiffenbach! He’s pursuing a B.S. in Robotics along with an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence and comes from Colorado.

Outside of class, Brent enjoys playing video games, skiing, watching shows and movies, and playing ultimate frisbee.

This week’s Feature Friday is Nick Palumbo! He’s studying Robotics Engineering and Computer Science and comes from Auburn, Massachusetts. On campus, he’s involved with Order of Omega and Sigma Pi Fraternity.

Outside of class, Nick enjoys playing guitar, watching movies, TV, and anime (especially Marvel), skiing, and playing video games.

A fun fact about Nick: he has an arrhythmia that lets him get his resting heart rate down into the 40s if he tries.
