We had a great seminar on Japanese swordsmanship here in Worcester this past Sunday June 29th, held at the Karate Center with myself, sensei Brian Dunham from New Hampshire Iaido San Shin Kai.

A special shout out to Derrell Thomas and the group at Aikido Schools of New Jersey, for hosting a great Sunday iaido seminar, and bring Shihan Roger Wehrhahn up to teach and train. With sensei Brian Dunham from New Hampshire Iaido, sensei Dwayne, Michael Knighton, Ed Nevell, Dan Rominski, and the whole cast of characters.

Our iaido and Japanese sword organization just completed our annual Summer Camp in the Catskills NY. 37 people spent 3 days training in Muso-Shinden-Ryu Iaido. What a great weekend and group to be a part of. The legacy of Mitsuzuka Takeshi Sensei lives on.

A Kaewaza or House Version within Eishin Ryu of Yukizure, with a double attack to the first opponent and a suggestion of tsuka evasion in the timing at the 3rd to 4th step. In our Muso Shinden Ryu, we have just the 2 quick attacks in our Yukizure, right and left. I have my own kaewaza for this technique. Right, left then a body driven rotation cut yokogiri to resolve the first opponent fully, and step back into jodan and chiburi-noto.
