School Committee meeting TONIGHT at 7pm at WRHS Media Center. Since it is the first meeting since local elections, the organizational meeting to elect our chair and vice chair will be held prior to the regular meeting. The committee now consists of 16 members down from 22, as agreed upon when the regional agreement was amended 2 years ago and weighted voting was adopted. Welcome to our new member, Melissa Wallace from Sterling.

On Monday, 5/13 and Monday 5/20, the citizens of Holden will vote to fund improvements to the modular classrooms at Dawson, security improvements at all Holden achools, fixing the broken playgrounds at our elementary schools, and upgrades to the senior center parking, and an ambulance for HFD.

It's a 2 step process to fund these - vote YES to Question 1 on the ballot on Monday, 5/13 AND attend town meeting on Monday, 5/20 to vote YES on the Capital Expenditure Exclusion.

Spread the word! If we want secure schools, working slides, promised improvements to the modulars, and necessary things for the senior center and Holden Fire Department, then we need to get out there and vote!
