It was great seeing so many team members at Edgewood's Open House! Competition season is right around the corner and practices will begin soon.

Team members and any student interested in joining are encouraged to attend an informational meeting before the season begins. Meeting times are:

WHS- August 25th, 3 pm. Location TBD.

6th grade- September 3rd 6:30 pm, Edgewood Cafeteria

7th/8th grade- September 3rd 7:15 pm, Edgewood Cafeteria

5th grade- September 17th 6 pm, Edgewood Cafeteria

School is right around the corner! Join us for our Back to School bash.

Over the last nine months Wooster AC had a very successful year and met many goals set by each grade level team.

Here are some interesting team stats:

1. 78 students grades 5-8
2. 9 months of practices
3. Read over 5,000 plus questions and learned over 40 different topics
4. Participated in 17 tournaments (NAQT, Mid Ohio, OAC, LIQBA)
5. Most importantly the team gave hundreds of high fives, fist bumps, had a million laughs and a ton of memories were made.

Coach Miller would like to give a huge THANK YOU to every parent, guardian, family member, staff member, and community members who supported us all year long. We are grateful for all of you!

Onto next year!

7th graders had their last competition of the year today at Mid Ohio. The team had some challenging questions, however, they worked well together. The team took 6th and 13th place out of 32 teams.

This team had a great year! Top 10 and top 15 at Mid Ohio, top 20 at Copley, and various players competed at higher levels. The team continues to show growth and are already looking forward to next year!

6th grade had their last competition of the year. This team was on 🔥 all season and finished with a 2nd and 3rd place out of 31 teams today! So proud to be their coach!

Highlights of the season: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at all 3 Mid Ohio tournaments, placed in the top 5 at Copley, 3rd and 4th in the state for the LIQBA online competition, tried their first OAC tournament and placed 5th. They checked off every goal they set and are already talking about 7th grade competitions. This team has done great things!

This past weekend, Edgewood competed at NAQT in Chicago. This tournament had 192 teams and almost 1,000 individuals. Edgewood faced some tough competition and competed against the team that took second place. The team gave their best effort and it was a great experience for all of us. From team meals to elevator rides to hanging out with younger siblings, it was a fun weekend.

This was the last tournament for the 8th graders as they move onto high school. The 8th grade team set goals this year and accomplished all of them: beat Lexington, top 10 at Mid Ohio, win Tri County, and compete at Nationals. It's been an absolute pleasure having the 8th graders these past four years. Congratulations on a successful season and as we've said over the last few weeks... we're just not a team, we're family.
