Beyond bullets is another book we will be reading in the homeschool/micro school class. This is an account from a photo journalist of his experiences in Afghanistan, in 2 trips he made there. This book oftens well rounded viewpoints about foreign issues that I had never considered.

I didn’t know the name of it, but I saw way too much of ‘The Matthew Effect’ in my school. The ‘Wait and see’ approach was used too often and kids went through 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades, etc. and just got further and further behind.
The years go by so fast and before you know it, your child is going to middle school and hates school and is far behind.
The best way to fix this is to get help as early as possible. Early one-on-one intervention is often necessary, but will make a huge difference in the child’s learning and school experience.😀
