Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to introduce Horizons Academy | An EUTR Program. Everything Under the Rainbow Hilary Leahy Brooke Hudson Caitlyn Parvin Lisa White-Mitchell

Horizons Academy is a small academic community in Woodstock serving students in grades K–12 through small cohorts, strong instruction, and meaningful learning experiences.

At Horizons, learning is not limited to a desk, a worksheet, or a textbook.

Students build academic skills through direct instruction, guided practice, project-based learning, hands-on activities, discussion, movement, and real-world experiences.

A science lesson may move outside.

A writing assignment may begin with observation, conversation, or exploration.

Math may be practiced with manipulatives, games, measurement, budgeting, patterns, or problem-solving tasks.

History and literature may come alive through timelines, projects, debates, art, storytelling, and student presentations.

We believe children learn best when they are actively engaged — when they can see it, touch it, talk about it, move with it, question it, and connect it to the world around them.

Outdoor learning is also part of what we value. Time outside gives students space to observe, reset, explore, collaborate, and experience learning in a calmer, more grounded way.

Our approach blends strong academics with developmentally meaningful experiences that help students build confidence, curiosity, responsibility, communication, and real-world problem-solving skills.

At Horizons, students are not just completing work.
