One of my main philosophies as a teacher is that the best motivation for practicing is using songs that students love.

Some songs are incredibly difficult/advanced, and while you can find just about any song online, I’ve spent years composing sheet music myself. This way I can adjust the difficulty level, key, etc.

This also allows me to add in techniques that we are working on, and add notes about hand placement/theoretical concepts, all while they are getting to learn the songs that they want!

Hello all!

My name is Michael and I am a multi-instrument instructor. I teach private lessons at my home studio in Woodridge, along with virtual lessons.

With nearly 10 years of experience I have developed a great system that allows for students to learn the songs/music that they are interested in, while using those songs to teach various theoretical concepts.

I’ve been able to accomplish this by composing all the music and charts myself, which allows me to make even the most complex songs possible for less experienced students.
