Today in Ready Set Grow 2, the children read *Be You!* by Peter H. Reynolds. 💕 This sweet and inspiring story encourages children to be true to themselves, celebrate what makes them unique, and remember that it’s okay to be exactly who they are!

The children talked about how each person is special and has their own interests, ideas, talents, and unique way of seeing the world. 🌎✨

After reading the story, they created self-portraits celebrating their own unique personalities and qualities. It was so much fun seeing each child express what makes them wonderfully **them!** 🎨🥰

✨ ¡Hola, Spanish Class! ✨🇪🇸

Today was our first Spanish class with Miss Elizabeth, and the children had so much fun! 💕 They’re so excited to see what fun new things they’ll be learning with her throughout the year. We can’t wait for all the singing, learning, and exploring ahead!🌎📚

☀️ Summer Open House Fun! ☀️

We had such a wonderful time at our ACES International Preschool and Childcare Center Summer Open House in Newtown on Saturday, August 8th! 💛

Thank you to all of the families who came out to spend the day with us! We had so much fun with face painting 🎨, bubbles, raffle prizes 🎁, classroom exploration, snacks, and a special Music & Movement session with Leslie from SoulShine! 🎶

A huge thank you to our amazing staff and everyone who helped make the day so much fun! We loved meeting families, showing them around our school, and sharing everything ACES International has to offer. 🌎❤️

🥳 Nursery 2 is kicking off the school year with lots of learning, exploring and play! 🎉

Our little learners have been exploring different textures and working on their motor coordination while playing with balls and a special sensory box designed just for them by Miss Mayra 💜

They are having so much fun discovering learning and growing through play! 🥰⚽️

📚✨ Ready for a Brand-New School Year! ✨🍎

Before welcoming our students back for the first day, our incredible ACES International Preschool team spent the week learning, preparing, and coming together to kick off the new school year! 💜

Our staff participated in a week of professional development focused on continuing to grow and strengthen the ways we support our students. Throughout the week, staff took part in sessions on Executive Function and Restorative Practices with Mary Stone and Kim C., Curriculum and Assessment Implementation with Kristen Gilbert, and Supporting Children in the Classroom with Avril Fraser. Staff also completed Medication Administration and EpiPen training with Danielle Yashenko to ensure we are prepared to support the health and safety of our students.

To wrap up the week, our staff attended the ACES Convocation at the Aqua Turf, joining colleagues from across ACES as we celebrated the beginning of another school year!

Between learning together, preparing our classrooms, and getting everything ready to welcome our students and families, it was a busy and productive week—and now we’re ready! 💜🍎

Here’s to an amazing year ahead and to the wonderful team that makes ACES International Preschool such a special place! 💜

🎉 Our First Day of School! 🎉

Today marked the beginning of a brand-new school year at ACES International Preschool, and what a wonderful first day it was! 💜
Our classrooms were filled with smiles, new friendships, learning, laughter, and lots of excitement as we welcomed our students back and met some new friends too!

We are so excited for all the adventures, memories, and fun that this school year has in store. Here's to an amazing year ahead! ✏️📚🍎

Ready Set Grow 1 & 2

Miss Avril read Sea Creatures by Pamela Chanko to the class. Following the story, the children participated in a group discussion about the variety of sea creatures featured in the book, as well as other ocean animals they enjoy.

To extend the learning experience, Miss Avril invited the children to become young scientists by exploring a collection of real ocean artifacts with magnifying glasses. The children observed, touched, and examined a variety of shells, a dried puffer fish, a sea sponge, and the jawbone of a small shark. They used their senses to investigate each item, asked questions, shared observations, and compared the different textures, shapes, and sizes.

This hands-on science exploration supported the week’s theme, “Ocean Explorers,” while encouraging curiosity, observation skills, descriptive language, and an appreciation for the diversity of marine life.
