🧠 Math Tip: Struggling with Word Problems? Try This Strategy! ✏️
A lot of students know how to solve equations—but word problems? That’s where they freeze. Sound familiar?
Here’s a simple technique I teach to make word problems less overwhelming and more doable:

🔹 Step 1: Underline the important numbers
🔹 Step 2: Circle key action words like “total,” “difference,” “each,” or “shared”
🔹 Step 3: Ask—what’s the problem really asking me to find?
This helps students break the problem down and choose the right operation (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with confidence.

💡 Pro Tip: Encourage your child to draw a simple picture or diagram too. Visualizing the problem can make all the difference!
