Frenship ISD Construction & Traffic Updates🚧🐾 As we settle into the 2026–2027 school year, several road construction projects in the Frenship ISD area may impact travel to and from our campuses. Families are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution in construction zones.

Two projects to be aware of:

Upland Avenue: 4th Street to 19th Street
Upland Avenue is being widened, and a portion of the road from 4th Street to approximately 7th Street will be completely closed for sewer maintenance. This project is anticipated to impact traffic throughout the 2026–2027 school year and will primarily affect travel to Terra Vista Middle School - Frenship ISD

FM 179: FM 1585 to US 62/82
This project includes widening FM 179 to add a turning lane and is anticipated to impact traffic throughout the 2026–2027 school year. Campuses impacted include
Bennett Elementary - Frenship ISD, Upland Heights Elementary - Frenship ISD,
Frenship Middle School - Frenship ISD, Frenship High School, and Aspire Learning Academy - Frenship ISD

Earlier this month, Frenship's Police Chief Ray Mendoza graduated from the Texas School Safety Center’s School-Based Law Enforcement Master Training Class #8 in San Marcos!🎓👏

The 128-hour training series equips school-based law enforcement leaders with advanced knowledge and strategies focused on school safety and security, including youth mental health, su***de prevention, bullying and cyberbullying, gang awareness, social media investigations, strategic planning, and effective leadership.

We’re proud of Chief Mendoza for his commitment to professional growth and his continued dedication to keeping our students, staff, and campuses safe! 💙🐾

National recognition for Frenship ISD FFA! ⭐️👏

Frenship High School FFA members Karter Bowen and Jocelyn Payne earned top honors for their Agriculture Proficiency SAE projects! Jocelyn received a Gold Emblem distinction in Equine Science – Placement, while Karter was named a National Finalist in Swine Production – Placement and will compete at the national level this fall for the chance to be named a National Champion!

Meanwhile, Frenship Memorial High School FFA earned a prestigious 3-Star National Chapter rating from the National FFA Organization—the highest rating a chapter can receive through the National Chapter Award Program! Only 10% or fewer of FFA chapters nationwide receive a national rating.

Congratulations to our outstanding FFA students and advisors on these incredible accomplishments! 🏆⭐️

SPIRIT PUMPS ARE BACK! ⛽🐾⭐ Frenship is fueling up for another season of the Toot'n Totum Spirit Pump Challenge!

Now through the end of November, every time you fill up at Pump 15 or Pump 16 at the Toot’n Totum located at 7303 82nd St. in Lubbock, you’re helping support safety and security initiatives at Frenship High School and Frenship Memorial High School!

💰 Every gallon pumped = $0.05 donated back to Frenship!

Last year, our Frenship community helped raise $1,625 through Spirit Pumps! Let’s see if we can beat that number this year!

Football season is BACK at Frenship, and so is Kid of the Game! 🤩🎉🏈 This Kid of the Game entry is for the: Frenship Memorial High School Panther Football Game – Friday, August 28, 2026!

👉 How it works:
● Each week, TWO elementary students (one boy and one girl) will be chosen as the Kids of the Game.
● Winners get a Frenship Swag Bag and will be recognized during pre-game at the Frenship Memorial vs. Lubbock-Cooper Liberty game on Friday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m.
📸 To enter:
● Comment a photo of your elementary student showing their Frenship spirit.
● Include their name and school (if more than two kids are pictured, specify who’s entering).
● Winners will be randomly selected from the comments on Thursday.

This year for Convocation, each campus was challenged to create and decorate a one-of-a-kind campus flag! 🏳️👏 During Convocation, principals and a few staff members proudly ran out to show off their custom creations as we kicked off the new school year! 🎉
