Good morning, everyone! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who donated items for my son, husband and I to bring to Smyth County (Damascus/Marion, VA) We delivered everything at 6pm last night to a very appreciative group of volunteers. Lots of hugs and thank yous! They are still working tirelessly and finding people up the mountain whose homes are find, but they are cut off by downed trees. Can you imagine?!! Just being found cut off two weeks after the Hurricane!! 😱😱 We have moved on from Damascus for now and are going to deal with the down trees on our property, which is the future outdoor AD/Retired Military campgrounds for Warrior_CG!

Five years ago today, I realized I could still uphold my deep parenting values, be busy, and compromise some little things without feeling like a failure. (Sounds logical, right?!) On this particular day, my kids still got a homemade meal while I was away- albeit not very healthy- lol- but they LOVED it!! Creativity at its finest! What are some cool mom hacks you’ve discovered?!

Overcoming adversity and nutritional restrictions is the name of the game at our house! Today, I let go of how intimidating the thought of this recipe was and just went for it- just as jumping in to achieve any goal is, these were 💯 worth it!!
