The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is excited to announce an enhanced Postsecondary Transition Plan application (PTP) to be released in August 2021. The PTP 2.0 application will include enhancements to the user experience, reports, and strategies for improving transition planning practices. The Transition Improvement Grant (TIG) will be hosting multiple events to support users learning to navigate the new application. We will have trainings for both experienced PTP users and new and emergency licensed teachers.

Wisconsin First Lady Kathy Evers’ video message today launched the Office of Children's Mental Health’s Feelings Thermometer to help families feel better during these stressful times.

The Feelings Thermometer is a visual tool to post on the refrigerator that helps everyone — from kids to adults— measure how they are doing emotionally with tips on how to shift your mood from angry to calm. Research tells us that just identifying a calming activity can reduce anxiety.
Download the Feelings Thermometer or order a magnetized version for easy posting.

This would be a great tool for nonverbal children and adults.

The Feelings Thermometer is a visual tool that helps you (kids and adults) measure how you are doing emotionally and what steps you can take to shift your mood when it things are getting tough.

Some of the Juneau CCoT members were on hand today at the Partners in Business: A Community Forum and Luncheon at Jake's Northwoods in Sparta today. It was a great opportunity for consumers, advocate agencies, parents, educators, and employers to network and learn from each other. Juneau CCoT members had great representation some had the opportunity to speak. It was a great event for all who attended.

Please see the flyer about an upcoming training in the Baraboo area. It's a Parents in Partnership (PIP) training focused on transition. It involves 5 series sessions, held on Saturdays. The event is free for families, but they do have to register and commit to attending all 5 sessions. This is a great opportunity!
